No. This would have to be 8/1, for which there was indeed a Summer special. "Rock Steady" was also indeed the Sure Shot for 6/27, but that week had a regular countdown. The week before that, he did a "One Shot" (one-hit wonders) special - to the best of my knowledge, aside from year-end countdowns, he never did specials two weeks in a row until he started doing two-part specials mid-way through the 2000s. After some further research, I now believe this show is not a "Summer's Greatest Hits" show and is indeed the regular top 40 for 06/27/87. On the 06/27 show the sure shot is "Rock Steady and #40 is "One for the Mockingbird." I have no playlist for the 08/01 show, but according to Reception73, it is a regular countdown, not a special. You should probably change all airings of the show with "Rock Steady" as the Sure Shot and "One For the Mockingbird" as #40 from 8/1, if you've credited them as such, to instead be 6/27. Because 6/27 is the correct show for those specifics. Unless you just momentarily got the "Summer's Greatest Hits" date mixed up when you posted Thursday, in which case never mind. (6/27 has the listed songs in the positions mentioned, it's just not "Summer's Greatest Hits".) As for 8/1 - say it with me now: Reception is wrong. I don't know why he posted that week's R&R chart for that week, but it's not a regular countdown.

^^ I think you’re correct. For those who wanted to listen to the Countdown it’s been interrupted.

Tonight on KKMK: 6/22/2002, for its 6th time. I was expecting 2001 (6/16) instead of this - so, apparently radio is skipping that week this year. Hmmm... Looks like they're correcting for last week - 6/16/2001 is instead tonight (for its 6th time). For context: The order the past couple of years has been - 6/5/2004, 6/16/2001, 6/22/2002. This year, they switched the 02 and 01 shows, it seems.

Tracking Hour 1 of the countdown chart requires attention to details. Starting with the June 1 R&R chart: - #40, "I Wanna Be Bad", is #44 on R&R.
- R&R's #43, "Miss California", is deleted.
- R&R's #42 and #41 are "Bootylicious" and "The Way You Want Me To", in that order. Rick switches them here, putting 98 Degrees at #39 and Destiny's Child at #38.
- R&R's #40, "Look at Us", is holding there this week, stubbornly refusing to die for one more week. But Rick took that off last week.
- R&R's #39, "What Would You Do?", was also deleted - but given its +686 spin gain and 49-39 jump, that was clearly a mistake, which he would realize by next week.
- From there, the next songs on R&R line up in order - yes, including "Take it to Da House" - until we get to "Put it on Me" at #34 on R&R, which Rick deleted.
Elsewhere... When Rick said 98 Degrees had fallen off and were returning this week, I thought immediately that that must be wrong - but upon checking Reception, apparently that did actually happen. Rick's #1s from X years ago have the ability to all be correct this week - but "Want Ads" for 1971 has to use June 12, while "Stars on 45" for 1981 has to use June 20. (Obviously, for 1991, he could only be absolutely right or absolutely wrong given the respective dates.) After playing "Kiss Kiss", Rick and "surprise guest" Stella Soleil talked about its origin of being a cover of a Turkish song, and actually played a droppiece of that - which strikes me as a VERY old school AT40 thing to do. Rick always played the original version of "Stutter" (a slow song, which is Joe alone), didn't he? Up in the Top 10, Rick switched Train and Dido, then Nelly Furtado and Destiny's Child ("Survivor"). Oddly enough, at the bottom of the Top 30, American Hi-Fi and Faith Hill actually tied in spins on the R&R chart, with Faith winning the tiebreaker (which was still # of stations playing the song at this point, though she easily had the bigger spin gain as well). And they cut Lil' Kim's verse out of "Lady Marmalade" - which AT40 was also doing at this point , though it'd be either this week or next week where they finally stopped doing that.

On AT40 2.0 which was using Mediabase charts at the time, how were these songs ranked compared to R&R/Rick Dees that June 16, 2001 week?
