He was too busy skipping rap or else otherwise perceived rap to skip anything else - which in this case means "Rump Shaker" despite that being #12 and "Mr. Wendal" despite that actually tying two other songs for the highest-jumping hit of the week (up 10 places). Which in turn means he mentioned not the title "Mr. Wendal", not the act Arrested Development, nothing! Granted he wouldn't stay skipping that one, but for this week at least it was as egregious as you can get.

mitchm the 1994 - 1999 list should be amended to separate 12/12/98 from the 1998 Christmas, with Christmas having its own entry. 12/12 would have had a regular countdown that week - and at a minimum, per the above memo, the Christmas show didn't even go out until the 14th. (If anything, the "date" would probably be 12/19, side-by-side with Part One of the Top 98 of 1998.) So 12/12 would instead have 0 airtimes (like most of the year) and all the airtimes-to-date would go with the Christmas show.

That memo was from the 12/12/98 show. And it definitely is a weekly survey

Tonight on KKMK: 1/27/2001 for the 6th time.
Take the January 12 R&R chart, cut out Ja Rule (#40) and Outkast (#29), neither of whose songs he ever put in the countdown, and you get this week's countdown. (Disregard the 2/10 countdown listing on Reception, as I'm pretty sure it's wrong - I'd like to see that week come up on the app in a few weeks to know for sure.)
Very surprised that Rick actually played most of "Stan" from what seemed to be its full length - I think the only part cut out is the references to Stan's girlfriend screaming in the trunk as he's heading for the bridge. Its running time just in the show is just over six minutes (counting Rick's intro over Dido just before the first verse) - of the AT40s from this period that I've heard with "Stan" in them, I've always heard it run shorter.

Was it after 9/11/2001 Rick began puting most rap songs back in his countdown?

KDGL TheEagle1069.com is playing 01/28/89 this week. The sure shot is "Leave Me Alone" by Michael Jackson. This is the 8th airing of this show on retro-Dees with the most recent airing being 01/29/2022ar. "Leave Me Alone" by Michael Jackson never got released as a single to become the 8th. single from MJ's "Bad" album (It was an extra song on the CD version), it never even made R&R's CHR Top 40 - even used for Casey's Top 40! If "Leave Me Alone" did, Michael would have had 8 top 40 hits from an album/CD and this would have been 2 years before Michael's sister Janet would make R&R with 8 songs from the same album (Though "State of the World", the 8th. song from Janet's "Rhythm Nation" album, wasn't released as a single too and that's why it never made Shadoe Stevens AT40).
