Edit: Last year this week 08/29/92 was played, and since lately they have almost always repeated ... That is what WXCV Citrus 95.3 is playing. But the odd thing is: They're already at #29, which they shouldn't be with a 3 PM start time. So either they've cut down to a 3-hour version, or moved the countdown up an hour.

Edit: Last year this week 08/29/92 was played, and since lately they have almost always repeated ... And, naturally, this applies to Dees 2K as well, as 8/28/2004 - last played this weekend last year - is on now on KKMK. They, incidentally, have been starting a few minutes before 8 PM EST as of late, as they did that last week too. Tonight, they started at 7:57.

Show notes:
During the interview with Kimberley Locke, she's talking about parts of radio that she was learning about for the first time, which includes specific mentions of BDS and the explanation of that being Broadcast Data Systems, Billboard's airplay monitor. You would almost never expect that to be name-dropped here - but then, by now the Weekly Top 40 was more-or-less a "lame duck" in the Premiere portfolio, as Rick had already departed from KIIS (back in February), and the show's contract wouldn't be renewed after 2004, which necessitated him taking it elsewhere.
(For that matter, Casey also made a specific reference to Broadcast Data Systems, on his last Casey's Top 40 before he left Westwood One in 1998 - that came in the form of the #1 story that week, as "My Heart Will Go On" had recently set a new airplay audience record.)
Note for Fatboy Slim/Bootsy Collins's "The Joker" cover - it was New & Active on the corresponding week in R&R, so they were definitely trying to push it at CHR here at the time. I mention that as Wiki only mentions it being released at the end of February 2005 and reaching #32 in the UK.
Rick switched Britney's two hits vis-a-vis R&R. And speaking of one of the two, it's strange (if rather typical) for him to skip "Everytime" and then just throw on "It's My Life" as a completely impromptu No Nuttin' extra a few songs later.
Shout out to 1985 on the app this weekend, as Rick plays a drop of #1 from that week ("The Power of Love").

Almost completely fresh shows (the last time the 86 was done in any form was in 2011), and the 80s and 90s match calendar dates for the second straight week. September 6, 1986 aired last year. It also aired one of the years from 2013-2015, because I recorded it from his website. (Unless the website and radio stations had differing shows back then.)
