So in the 11/27/04 show, the app skips the segment containing #3 and #2. It goes directly to #1 after the #4 segment ends. Can someone please tell me what number 2 and number 3 are? Thanks.

This may have been pointed out before, but Rick erred in the clue for the challenge in the 1988 show. He said "this year", but the song he played the opening chords of was Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again", from the previous year. Furthermore, it was from the start of the single version usually played on top 40 radio then, including countdowns, but not the album version with the keyboard fade-in that gets most recurrent play now.
And IMO unfortunately the intro to "Kokomo", at #1, was spoiled by some unfunny and unasked-for political cracks from Mike Love.

Did the skipped of #3-#2 for Nov 27, 2004 happened when KKMK aired it last Sunday night? I didn't listen to it.
Also does anyone know the challenge of what 3 snippets played? I know one of it is norah jones - dont know why but what are other two? thanks

I listened to the countdown but I already had the rankings before the countdown started so I was pretty much listening just to enjoy the music. All I can say is that I didn't notice that they had skipped those 2 songs and the show did end about 10 minutes after the hour which is typical for them.

The second presentation of the challenge followed "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5, of whom Rick marveled about their staying power, "Four months [or whatever] and still in the top 10". Fast forward 14 years...and they're still there.

I prefer the guitar/hard rock intro to the other, more played one.

I believe the show KZOY is playing this morning is 11/28/87. The SureShot is "Seasons Change" by Expose.

Wtf KZOY just switched from 1987 to 1990. I kid you not. One minute we hear “I’ve Had The Time Of My Life” and then Rick announces “Black Cat” by Janet Jackson. Very strange.
Is it fair to assume we’re finally getting a 1990 show this weekend? Could it be? Please be true.

i think people need to listen more to KZOY, than just few segments in beginning and stop completely. Who knows what KZOY can play segments in different years.. Maybe next time I should listen more to KZOY...

This week's shows:
November 28, 1987 November 24, 1990 December 9, 2006 (Rick said "start off the month of December"; should it be December 2, 2006? SS is "I Want To Love You".)
Hooray for a 1990 show! Now give us 1989 in the 80s series next week to make it even better!

Holy s***, so it’s true. I can’t believe my eyes right now. Oh my god, I’m so happy right now. It’s about time we got a 1990 show. Oh my god, I’m freaking out right now. I thought it would never happen. I can’t even remember now it’s been so long, the last time we got a 1990 show that wasn’t a yearly repeat. Actually, I can. I believe it was a March (can’t remember the date) show that last aired in 2014.
mitchm, I hope KZOY gets their act together and airs the correct show tomorrow.
