They were doing great--for weeks, but just didn't this week. If they don't take down 1984 next week, and finally get 1980 on there, as well as next week's 1987, all ten years will be on the On Demand feature.

1980 is still not up On Demand yet, nor is last week's Working Class DJ. I wonder how many people are asking about it on FB or wherever. I know 1980 is not really the most popular year (wasn't there someone who always complained on that page when they would do the early years?) but I'm sure some people are curious.

November 10, 1984 next week. I don't know if they've done that one before, but I do know we don't get that from Premiere as that AT40 was guest hosted.

This was the second week in a row where they played the studio version of a song whose live version charted. Last week there was "Dreamer" and this week was "Mony Mony", even though they did play the live version last year.
Funnily enough, the song that played after the show ended was a live song as well --- "Say Goodbye To Hollywood".

The show started with the actual date of the chart--11-7-87. I was shocked, as I was expecting 11-6-87, which was a Friday. 1987 is on the On Demand feature, for a total of nine shows. As Laura mentioned, 1980 never made it, and it's highly unlikely that it will be added since 1987 is on there from this week. Can we bet on 1989 for 11-17-23? If the order continues, the expanded "Thanksgiving Edition" should be 1981.

I would double check but of course they don't have it up On Demand.

For anyone interested, they finally added the 1980 show from a couple weeks ago...except it's also labeled as 1987 in the episode title.

I guess better late than never? I will check how many episodes are on the On Demand feature. Could it be ten now?

There are 11 episodes, and strangely for 9-22-23, 1986 is listed twice, and as Laura pointed out 1987 twice, but one is 1980. This definitely needs a clean up. I am thinking when the new 1984 episode is loaded this weekend, the old 1984 should drop off. Curious if the order on the On Demand will be future shows for the remainder of this year.

Well, thank goodness, because I thought SXM was setting us up for disappointment again by refusing to make that last 1980 VJ Big 40 show available On Demand at all. Before that show's last airing on the 80s Channel proper, I've only listened to two of Nina's talk breaks (both of which happened during that show's first airing on October 27), and none of the talk breaks by either of the male VJs.

One thing they did seem to screw up was, when they added the 1980 show, my saved place in the 1987 was somehow lost. So now I have to skip 6 songs every hour to get back to where I was. Which, by the way, I don't remember...
