Here's one from 1992: Boyz II Men's "Please Don't Go". (#38 on 5/2) Never cared for that song. Like many recording groups who were initially into new jack swing, they shifted focus to ballads (and eventually power ballads) not long afterwards. You could notice a gradual change in their sound in the years leading up to "On Bended Knee". "Please Don't Go" did spend just a mere one week on AT40, but their next hit, "End of the Road", would reach #1 and remain there for three months - the longest run at #1 in AT40 history with 13 weeks. Sounds like a dramatic improvement in their music quality by that point.

I believe there's just one week in the Shadoe Stevens era to have not one but two of these in the same week:
11/19/94 - the first two songs, "At Your Best (You Are Love)" by Aaliyah (#40) and "Spin the Bottle" by The Juliana Hatfield Three (#39).
The table linked earlier in the thread does note two other weeks that each have a pair of one-week-wonders, both from the second Casey era: 2/5/00 ("Stay the Night" by IMX [#40] and "The Great Beyond" by R.E.M. [#38]) and 9/22/01 ("Me, Myself, and I" by Jive Jones [#40] and "Sweet Baby" by Macy Gray [#38]).
Any other such multiple-one-week weeks, or just those three?

C. W. McCall - Wolf Creek Pass Chic - Everybody Dance Captain & Tenille - You Need a Woman Tonight Dawn - What Are You Doing Sunday Rod Stewart - Angel Meat Loaf - You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth Bon Jovi - Runaway Emotions - So I Can Love You (1969)
I think the next Top 40 single by the artists after these songs charted hit #1. In other words, from one week to number one.

I'm pretty sure there was a week in 1992 with two or maybe even three. I'd have to research it, but I believe My Name Is Prince was one of them.

I'd have to research it, but I believe My Name Is Prince was one of them. 10/10 - Prince, and George Lamond's "Where Does That Leave Love". (Actually was surprised when I saw recently that George had in fact made it in a second time.) Vanessa Williams's "Work to Do" would also drop out with them on 10/17, but she'd return on 10/24 for two more weeks.

The most recent example I could find was "Cloudy Day" by Tones and I in August 2021.
