By the way SXM did not play the AT40 outro for the 8/20/1977 show..... Never thought I'd say this, but SXM 70s could take a few lessons from their 80s-slanted sibling regarding AT40. No, I don't mean moving the show to the early morning the way 80s did, but not chopping off the closing theme and not hacking off portions of the split-logo jingles. If only 70s could be blessed with someone to bring them back into line the way 80s was. Paging John Clay.....Paging John Clay. Heck, SXM has even dropped the "modern Casey" bumpers promoting the show, subbing their own "70s on 7" jingles in their place. Sheesh!!!! They could also start the countdown when it's supposed to start. I set my radio to start recording at 12:00 PM Saturday, only to miss the intro and most of #40 ("That's Rock 'n' Roll.") So I rerecorded it starting at 11:56 Sunday night, and ended up with two and a half extra songs before the countdown started, which was after 12.

I did the very same thing, I felt compelled to re-record this Sunday night! Yeah, it was kinda appalling. That's why 9/10 times I record shows 10 minutes before the actual start time and 10-15 minutes after the show has ended. Some stations are good for doing that, starting early or ending later.

"SXM 80s on 8 is playing the same show they played last weekend....8/17/1985" I noticed that too....anyone know if they switched the schedule around for current week's shows? Didn't they always air the previous Sunday morning's show in the Sunday evening timeslot? Is there a website that details the year of the week's shows ahead of time? The following 2 links give the full schedule of 70s on 7 and 80s on 8, but no such details on the AT40 shows unfortunately: www.xmradio.com/onxm/channelguide.xmc?ch=7www.xmradio.com/onxm/channelguide.xmc?ch=8The electronic program guide in the links didn't show the years either, and one time a few months ago one of the 70s on 7 DJs messed up 15 minutes before an AT40, saying the show was 1979, when it was actually 1976 or something.........I have directv with sirius/xm and I hdd record these shows late saturday morning(70s) and early sunday(80s) and I always thought these were times for the current week's shows, but now I'm totally confused.......

The only thing worse than SXM playing the same countdown as Premiere is playing the same countdown at the same time two weeks in a row. Maybe this was a mistake and they'll play something different this evening. If not, then someone at SXM should be shouted at, as per the advice of the 8/17/85 #1 song.

This has to be an error, I mean I am hoping tonight they will decide to play a totally different episode from hopefully 1986 or 1987 (but not the same one as Premiere, though).

They skipped the Elvis LDD between #33 and #32.

They skipped the Elvis LDD between #33 and #32. You've got to be kiddin' me. WTF Why? On the 8/9/1986 episode they literally edited the intro to Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer". It was suppose to be a story behind Peter's stage tactics. I'm listening now, this show is highly edited! Yeah, stick with the Premiere version.
