It's amazing to hear Casey's voice from years ago. I've recently "rediscovered" AT 20 online (I hadn't realized it was still on) and his voice really is strained on the newer shows.

It's amazing that he's still at it after all these years. It shows how much he must really love what he does.

Talk about added value to my Direc TV subscription! This is awesome, I just wish my DirecTivo could record the music channels. I have a DVR and it is recording them the 70's station just fine.

What happened to the network commercials on the early '70's shows? (ie. Certs, MGM Records, Cruisin' Series etc.)

bdpop........the commercials couldn't make it past the XM Director of Censored and Offensive Material! And on the near horizon for the May 8, 1971 show, one of my all-time favorite lost oldies -- Chick-a-Boom!!!

WTF was that just now on the 80's channel? ? it went from an ending of one early 80's show to #32 on an 88 show! It might have been best to hand the LPs to XM and had them play them, at least there would be SOME order to this!

Sounds like this current 80s show is a little messed up, we're getting the outro, then the song, I 'm not sure what is happening

Then they would have to pay someone to sit there and play them.

I'm really baffled at the mixed up order on the 1988 show on now... but I'm recording it now, and I'll edit the order so they're in the right order for future playback

The sound quality on this 1971 show they are playing now is excellent.

Yep, I'm listening to the mixed up 1988 show now too. It kind of reminds me of when I was trying to copy the AT40 show guest hosted by Donny Osmond from 1990 and each disk had like 50 tracks on it and my computer sorted them wrong and one disc ended up all out of order and crazy like that. I still have that disc and listen to it every now and then for a laugh. Alfred, thanks for the list, though to correct one typo, #9 on the 80's list should be 8-6-88, not 86. It was the first time I heard the first hour of that show, as they played only the 3 hours of course when they ran it on AT40 Flashback. Casey's final ABC show was the date of my 12th birthday, and my "hometown radio station" 1240 KTAM Bryan, Texas was mentioned on the show.
