I wish. Would love to hear the second show (w/e 7/18/70, aired 7/11-7/12) with the Ken Martin's 're-creation' of the apparently forever lost third hour. The debut show (7/11/70 chart) would have fit this weekend. The second show, with its Ken Martin-recreated third hour, may not be legally playable by Sirius XM, or anyone other than Premiere. I'm sure you're correct.

The debut show (7/11/70 chart) would have fit this weekend. Consider: 1971 & 1977 are this week & last week's Premiere shows. 1972,1975 & 1979 are the most recent SXM shows. 1973 is a frequent Wheel Of Casey show. 1974 & 1978 are guest-hosted shows that have Wheel Of Casey appearances. 1976 was last year's SXM show.

Though if they wanted to play 1977, they could air the 7/16/77 show that Bruce Philip Miller guest hosted now that they play such AT40s without a special reason for doing so. Last month they did play BPM's other guest hosting appearance from 1979. 7/16/1977 would work for next week's show!

Hopefully Premiere can mirror Sirius and start playing some of the guest hosted shows.

Premiere has only played three guest hosted shows:Dick Clark,Gary Owens,& Mark Elliott-I'm inclined to think they'll only play those shows that were hosted by someone who's known by the public at large such as Bob Eubanks or Wink Martindale.

AT40 will be 20 years old soon, so it would be nice to hear episodes that were guest hosted to complete all of them. Typically, Casey would take off in January, and the guest hosted ones could be played as well versus years repeating.

We've gone over 20 years without a "new" Casey countdown (CHR, anyway - he continued Hot AC and AC through 7/4/2009).
So very grateful for the efforts of Shannon Lynn and everyone at Premiere, SXM, and all the great radio stations, so that we can all enjoy these awesome shows again. 🙂
ETA: If any of you get to hear Gordon Elliott's other guest-hosted program, 9/6/1980, he pronounced debut "da-boo". 😂

Hopefully Premiere can mirror Sirius and start playing some of the guest hosted shows. This will only happen when Larry Morgan introduces the show you're listening to American Top 40 and not Casey Kasem's American Top 40. The key words are Casey Kasem. Radio stations want Casey. His N.I.L. is a million times more valuable than any guest host whether that guest host is famous or not.

I like these guest hosted shows. According to my personal list, there are only ten 70’s shows that I haven’t heard. Got to hear two more this week alone thanks to Sirius.

Jeff,"AT40" will be 55 next year not 20. I think that he meant the repeats or reruns.
