84, eh? That'll be a good one.
However -- and I promise this will be the last time I mention it this year -- I was dying for a November or early December 1985 show. Oh well. Maybe I'll buy one from what's-his-name.

It's Friday 10:30AM PST and XM just announced tomorrow's 70's AT40 will be "This weekend's show from 1975." I'm guessing 12-20-75. That's the Way I Like It.... My first 45 was Love Machine, my first LP was Main Course. Both on this week's chart and both original copies still in my collection.

Great! I've been hoping for a Dec. '75 show all month. Kinda coincidental this show is also airing on Premiere this weekend as well. I'm also happy that Premiere is re-airing Dec. 26, 1987. I've been hoping for that one too. Let's hope XM gets their repeat of the jumbled mess of the 12/10/83 (assuming that was what they were trying to air) show from last weekend right on Sunday Night!

Thirty-three years ago and still making a living playing music: Paul McCartney, Fleetwood Mac, EWF, Kiss, Elton John, Paul Simon, Barry Manilow, KC. I suppose there are others on this week's chart as well.

A quick check found current tour dates for these artists that were charting on 12-20-75: Marshall Tucker Band, AWB, Gladys Knight, Isley Brothers, Glen Campbell, and Paul Anka. Paul Anka? That makes 14 from that weeks Top 40 still rolling along.

Donna Summer, who was also on that chart, is also still around.

Donna Summer, who was also on that chart, is also still around. Yes, she is!!! I saw her at Mountain Winery in Saratoga this past August and she was awesome!!! The audience was really into it, singing, dancing and shouting "We Love you Donna!" and she wasted no time showing her appreciation to the audience in return. Now there's a class act if ever there was one.

Is it just me or is there another Technical Difficulty situation involving AT40 because I can't seem to get it on DISH Network? Anyone else experience these problems?

The transmission on Dish Network is working just fine for me. I haven't experienced any problems since the Sirius-XM amalgamation on either 70s on 7 or 80s on 8.

OK. Maybe it was something on my end. DISH works fine now.

Does anyone know which year end countdowns XM will air? The past couple of years, XM 7 has aired the top 100 of 76 and 77, and has played them on New Years Eve at 5 PM eastern. My guess is that won't happen this year with the changes. Does anyone know what XM's plans are? There is still nothing showing in the program schedule except that AT40 will be on at its regular times.

One of the DJs will probably say something on Friday. The best way to contact the DJs to get an answer is to use the email addresses on Sirius.com that are given in the channel pages there. Surprisingly, they still work and each DJ has a separate address unlike XM where only channel email addresses are publicly accessable.
I'll keep my eyes open and if I hear of anything, I'll post it here. I encourage others to do so as well.

Thanks caseyfan. I just looked at the program guide and it says XM 8 will air the top 50 of 1984 on 1/4/09. There is no info on this weeks show or on XM 7. We may get the first half of 1984 top 100 this sunday on XM 8.
