I missed Casey's intro to # 40 this week. Did he say anything other than the song title, artist and position? Did he have a story?

If so, just go to the app/website and start the 9am show from the beginning (if you read this in the next 3-4 hours), or tune in tonight at midnight for the last airing.

March 10, 1979 this week. "I Want Your Love" was Chic's 4th Top 40 single. I guess staff forgot that "Everybody Dance" spent a week on the chart in 1978. While it was unusual in the late 70's for an act like Chic to have 2 songs on the countdown early in their career, I believe England Dan & John Ford Coley had done this with their first 2 Top 40 hits a few years earlier. In addition, "Le Freak" was in its fifth month on the Hot 100, so it was time for a new song to chart.

I sure hope that JJ doesn't get fired for spilling the beans early for this week's show! (1975)

I sure hope that JJ doesn't get fired for spilling the beans early for this week's show! (1975) He shouldn't, but someone there should at least get slapped on the wrist for playing 1975 again for the second time in less than a month. (The two years we've heard in between from them, 1972 and 1976, are Premiere's two years this weekend.)

I sure hope that JJ doesn't get fired for spilling the beans early for this week's show! (1975) He should get a bonus in his check! They used to always say what year it was before the show aired. When Jaybeau would come on at 3 (or whenever AT40 ended) he would say "That wraps another At40 for this week, Casey will be back next Saturday with ........." Then they just stopped doing that.
