Rumor has it that the first countdown from 7/4/70 is scheduled to air next Saturday (7/19) with an encore presentation on Wednesday (7/23).

Actually it will be the 7/5/75 show which repeated the first AT40 countdown. Not quite the original but close.

This week's "AT40 on XM' show on XM 80s is scheduled to go all the way back to the beginning of the decade with a countdown from July 12, 1980. I believe this is the first time XM has aired an AT40 from 1980 since March. Now, the big question is....will they foillow through, or will they flake out and replace it with a later show??? Let's tune in this Sunday and find out.

I hope they don't flake out -- the summer of 1980 is one of the biggest gaps in my collection.
Lots of good stuff that week. It's funny: I just obtained a show from June of 1989, when "Into the Night" re-charted. And now, within days, I'll get one from its original run.

I just listened to the rebroadcast of the first AT40 show. It sounded good, except XM skipped #15, A Song Of Joy by Miguel Rios. Hopefully they will correct it for the Wednesday replay.

7/5/75 was a rebroadcast of the first show 5 years later. They played the enire show including all the extras (except #15)

By any chance did XM happen to include "Teen Angel" in the 7/12/1980 show? I suspect that Premiere had that song deleted.

I would assume XM did include "Teen Angel" by Mark Dinning-As you know,they air every classic "AT40" countdown uncut & uninterrupted.

Yes XM did include Teen Angel and all the archives hits from the 60s.

I don't have XM so if anybody happens to catch the Thursday night airing of the 7/12/1980 program (if nobody has recorded it off XM yet) and record it on the computer then can you please send me a copy? Thank you.

This week's countdowns are:7/22/78-It's also on terrestrial radio-XM's play dates are Saturday (7/26) & Wednesday (7/30) & 7/21/84-Sunday (7/27) & Thursday (7/31).
