Would this be the first time that Sirius XM and AT 40 the 70's had the exact same show featured? I know that in the past they both have done the same year, but they were different weeks. Countless... This week's Sirius XM AT40 is the same as Premiere's B show: October 13, 1973.

Per jmack19 right above your reply, not the same '77 show this week: Premiere's is 8/13, he/she says that Sirius-XM's 'should' be 8/20. (update) jmack19 is correct--8/20.

^On Saturday: March 4, 2023, Sirius-XM aired March 5, 1977. April 15, 2023, Sirius-XM aired April 16, 1977. July 8, 2023, Sirius-XM aired July 9, 1977.
Saturday is August 19, 2023, which makes me believe this weekend's show is from August 20, 1977.

I would have preferred 1972 or 1978 which were played before last months or today's 1977 selection.

Cool - with Premiere's B show and this SXM one, can get 2 1977 shows in a row!

Aug. 19-20, 2023: Now let’s go back to this week in 1977 - none - August 20, 1977 In what would prove to be a 'foreshadowing' of the rest of 1977, this 8/20 show contains 4 previous #1s, 3 of them in the first hour, but zero future #1s other than Andy Gibb at #2 who would return to the top for one more week in September. Meco's "Star Wars/Cantina Band" is at #43. She whose song shall not be named is still two weeks away from entering the Hot 100. 24 of 1977's 28 #1 songs hit the top in the first seven months of the year.

I would have preferred 1972 or 1978 which were played before last months or today's 1977 selection. Given that 1971, 1975 & 1978 shows have aired in the past 2 years, I'll go with August 26, 1972 for this weekend.

As I just heard the following week's multi-chart 'mash-up' top 50 on thefoxoldies.com this morning, I'll pass on this one.

Wow, not too often the Wheel show is as close to the current calendar date as this one was.

Wow, not too often the Wheel show is as close to the current calendar date as this one was. Afterwards, it was announced that this weekend's show would be from 1976. If correct, that means following an 8/14/76 show on Thursday with an 8/21/76 show on Saturday.

I agree, 8-28-76 is closer to the featured date of 8-26-23. From what I have seen, one day ahead of the actual date is the most they ever do! However, Joe Cantello does a Cashbox episode from 8-28-76, which is located on Page 4 of the Cashbox Thread, in the General Music Section. I listened to that earlier this week, and absolutely outstanding. A surprise #1 is on that episode.
