Wheel of Casey: March 8, 1975. (I know these are random and don't preview SXM's weekend shows, but this is a bit too close to Premiere's this week for my liking.)

Should not have concerns about the B show. Although 1978 is due, it probably won't be featured this weekend since it aired last year on SXM.

Looks like April 22, 1972 is on tap for this weekend.

Looks like April 24, 1971 is on tap for this weekend. If they don't cut out the original extras, then this pays tribute to the just-deceased Harry Belafonte, with "Banana Boat (Day-O)" as an extra. Or it could also be May 1, 1971, which is now the closest thing we have to an unplayed Casey show from Premiere, where it was aired in 2007--during Premiere's first few months of classic AT40's--and never since.

15 of the 40 songs were on their way down the Billboard chart (April 24, 1971).
I did find one other show where 16 of the Top 40 were on their way down the chart , inside the Top 40 (May 11, 1974).
Anyone know of a show that featured more than 16 songs that were working their way down the 40?

Anyone know of a show that featured more than 16 songs that were working their way down the 40? The 2/1/74 countdown has 18 songs dropping down from their previous week's position. I don't know if that's a record from the Casey era or not but at least it's another example. Interestingly, on this week's Hot 100 (4/29/23), 28 out of 40 songs are down from their previous position. Songs #20 thru #31 are all down from the 4/22/23 chart.

15 of the 40 songs were on their way down the Billboard chart (April 24, 1971). Two weeks in a row: This week's Premiere 'A' show from the following week (May 1) also has 15 songs that are headed down the chart.

For this weekend, May 6, 1978 is on tap.
