Interesting fact: Just before the countdown started, XM played "Roll Down The Highway," featuring lead man Randy Bachman. Has 1972 been played in 2021? If not that should be next week, and I believe that would be all nine years (1971 to 1979). Please correct me if I should be wrong.

Wheel of Casey this week: September 1, 1979. I think this is the first of their random Thursday night picks that was originally 4 hours in length.

Jeff 1972 has not been played yet this year, so there is a chance 3/4/72 could be played this weekend.

And this completes all 9 different years of AT 40 the 70's--1971 to 1979 in 9 weeks.

Mar. 13-14, 2021: Now let’s go back to this week in 1974 - Gloria Gaynor, March 9, 1974 Why in the world did Casey think / say "Blue Swede" was "from Holland?"

Probably for the same reason he said that Dawn consisted of seven members. The information wasn’t easy to get back then and artists and record labels would often put out misleading info on purpose.

I wish Sirius/XM didn't delete the "AT40 Specials"-I enjoy those.

Sirius XM 7 usually leaves in most or all of the AT40 extras on their regularly scheduled weekend shows now--even those that predate the 1970s. But not so much in these random Thursday night picks. The 8/22/70 show originally had six extras--all from the 1960s--and SXM deleted all of them, making for one of the shortest Casey AT40 presentations ever.
