Sirius XM has been better about playing full, unedited countdowns in its weekend timeslots lately, as with last week's and this week's shows. But on their Thursday bonus show from 1970 this week, all five extras (all from the 1960s) were deleted. 1970? In January? how is that possible? (unrelated) Now that I have SiriusXM in my new vehicle (until at least May when I have to decide if I want to pay for it from then on), I've been enjoying the shows. Drove around aimlessly both yesterday and today to hear parts of the '73 show that I would have otherwise missed!

1970 is possible in January because their Wheel of Casey Thursday shows come from any part of the year. I really like those 1970 shows. Casey sounds so serious. Makes everything seem so important.

Is it just me, or have some portions of recent shows sounded like they weren't broadcast in stereo? Yesterday, I listened to the first two hours of 2/3/79, and every song sounded like it was on AM radio. Today while listening to the final hour of 2/3/79, everything sounded in stereo. Last week (1/27/73), the first six songs were in stereo, and then from #34 through #21, it sounded like an AM station broadcasting AT40. Both times it sounded different, it was the 6 a.m. Saturday broadcast, if that's a help.

Have all of my recorded AT40s in one folder on my PC (10 + years of shows ) and regularly use the shuffle to pick a random show to listen to

Unfortunately this week SXM returned to cutting out extras; at least in the first airing they excised the Supremes' "Someday We'll Be Together" and Sam Cooke's "Cupid" (a week later Tony Orlando & Dawn debuted with their cover of it.) IMO the Supremes song especially should have stayed in, in honour of Mary Wilson.
