Nov. 21-22, 2020: Now lets go back to this week in 1970 - Jonathan Edwards, November 21, 1970 Which was the Billboard chart date, but Sirius XM misidentified the show as 11/14/70--which was the date when it actually aired originally. (SXM and Premiere of course use the chart dates for the 1970-71 shows that originally aired a week ahead of those Billboard dates.)

I originally posted it as the 14th, then checked to see if they had the chart or air date and then fixed it. SXM typically uses the chart date on those eRly shows.

One other interesting thing about the show--it is in s-t-e-r-e-o; makes me wonder where they got this copy from? Regardless, it is always a pleasure to listen to these early shows.

SXM cut out the replay of the previous week's top 3, but otherwise kept everything in. Interesting how they jumped clearly from one end of the decade to the other, something Premiere will do next week.

SXM used to jump back and forth in the decade quite regularly, it was only when they got to middle years that it was tricky to guess where they’d go next. When they aired this show in 2013 the recap was left intact. This show did seem have an awful lot of commercial breaks though. Yes, they were cut out, but the bumpers where they would be were there. Just seemed like it was originally loaded with commercial breaks.

I just started a subscription. What days and times does the countdown air? Are there two separate countdowns every week?

I believe that Sirius/XM airs the countdowns at 12 PM Eastern Time on Saturdays & 9 AM Eastern Time on Sundays-Up until a few years ago,Sirius/XM used to air the 80's edition of "AT40" on their 80's on 8 channel-They presently carry their own countdown.

I just started a subscription. What days and times does the countdown air? Are there two separate countdowns every week? The first airing is 6am on Saturday, then at noon on Saturday and 9am and midnight on Sunday. Thursday night at 9pm is a random show. All on 70’s on 7, All times eastern.
