Sirius XM messed up the first hour of the 10/24/70 show, at least in its first play. "Lucretia Mac Evil" and "See Me, Feel Me" were played twice. They also left in a Casey intro to an extra, the Four Aces' "Love Is a Many Splendored Thing" (from 1955), but then cut the song (it was "replaced" by the first play of SMFM which was not in its proper chart place.)

Something special tonight: the Wheel of Casey landed on November 6, 1971--the Dave Hull show, and first ever guest hosted one.

While SXM is to be commended for deviating from the AT40 norm with a guest-hosted countdown, it's really a damm shame that Dave Hull has to die to gain this spotlight. What a joy it would've been for him, during his twilight years, knowing a radio program he recorded nearly 50 years ago was getting national attention one more time.
While there are other AT40 guest hosts with slightly less national prominence, do we have to wait until we lose Wink Martindale and Bob Eubanks before their AT40 shows re-air? I ask, why?

While there are other AT40 guest hosts with slightly less national prominence, do we have to wait until we lose Wink Martindale and Bob Eubanks before their AT40 shows re-air? I ask, why? I think there is a contrast between "generally known" and "only specifically known". These shows are also a must for real fans, but for the general public ? I don´t mean that in any way derogatory, but this question always arises when a somewhat lesser known song by an artist is included in a music playlist - unfortunately (and I really say "unfortunately"), a standard repertoire is (or maybe must be) often used (for advertising reasons, for legal reasons, ...). And one more thing about Premiere: Nowadays, when CDs no longer have to be sent, but a radio station can download a show, it should be easy to offer such a show as a "C" show. And if there are only a few stations that would play such a show - what´s the problem ? When a show has been "cut to size", all that is required is to insert the advertising blocks - and that should work pretty well with today´s software.

How was the Dave Hull show? Anything special? I’ve never heard his voice before.
