Well, no reason then for Sirius XM subscribers to seek out Premiere's B show, unless it's for optional extras or something. Odd that they'd pick this show, though, since just three weeks ago they played 6/5/76.
And just six weeks later (August 7, 1976) Sonny Melendrez guest hosted AT40.

I suppose there will be no AT40 next week end on SiriusXM, since they will be running the Top 700 of the '70's--and with so many stations on line running the first countdown from 1970.

Almost every year at some point on or near July 4 SXM replays the first AT40 from 1970. It seems odd that they'd skip it on its 50th anniversary; this being a special occasion it would make sense if they played it even knowing that Premiere will also do so.
Incidentally, this weekend's 60s Satellite Survey covers the top 40 of April-June 1970, the latter half of the countdown-wise "orphaned" first six months of the 1970s before Casey enters the mix.

If anybody has any info, please fill in the blanks. From what I can tell, the whole thing was scrapped shortly after making this video, which I could never find proof it was ever released commercially. There were a few promo 45s sent out, but I could never find where it actually made it to the stage where intended charity singles were pressed. My speculation is it was victim of charity overload at the time. There had already been Band Aid, USA for Africa and in a couple months Live Aid. ^^ I guess that's from the "Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries" series, from the presence of Parker Stevenson, Pamela Sue Martin, and Shaun Cassidy. Casey appeared in the two-part "Mystery of the Hollywood Phantom" episode in 1977.

I’m so confused, what does Sonny Melendrez have to do with anything (other than being a guest host)? Why would his guest hosting a show play into airing this week’s show??

I am almost certain that AT40 on XM will go with 1970 for the 4th of July weekend. This is the same year that Casey Kasem's show is doing that weekend.

I wonder if SiriusXM will edit out the Bill Cosby song, Little Ole Man, out of the broadcast next week end?
