I noticed that on the first show, Casey played the 2:40 promo edit of "Are You Ready?" by Pacific Gas & Electric. The stock single ran 5:49.

I recall he seldomly played the very rare (and truly horrible) 45 edit of BEST OF MY LOVE by The Eagles,(anyone remember that version?) I had no idea "Best Of My Love" had a different 45 edit. Maybe I'm just too young to remember a 45 edit, but I always assumed "Best Of My Love" was always the same on 45 and LP.

I consider the 45 cut probably the worst, most poorly, meaningless edit one can find (next to WHILE YOU SEE A CHANCE by Steve Winwood).

The standard 45 version of "Best of My Love' is 3:40, and yes I remember the long version of the song. It ended cold whereas the 45 would fade out

I just listened to the 12/2/1978 show and at #31 was Dance (Disco Heat) by Sylvester. I clocked the song at 5:40 (give or take on the fadeout under the voice), whereas the standard 45 checks in at 4:06.
