Casey did play "Rock Around The Clock" back in 1974 when it was on the Hot 100 and about to re-enter the Top 40 (It was #1 in 1955).

What I meant was that I don't think that Casey ever had a Sneek Peek/Breakout type feature when he hosted AT40. But I may be wrong on that. Nope...you're absolutely correct. Thanks for clearing up what you meant...I'd totally mis-interpreted you. Sorry about that!

This weekend's edition of "AT10" (5/23 & 5/24) spotlights artists who are no longer with us-I'm thinking we'll hear from folks such as Luther Vandross,Selena,& Laura Branigan.

I remember back in March, 1998, during the "transition" period of Casey's show, they played a "Future Hit". It was "Safe Place From The Storm" by Michael Bolton (ironically, that song missed the Top Ten - only one other song by Michael Bolton had ever failed to hit the Top Ten). Not sure if the other two shows had any such feature that week, though.

In his introduction to "If You Don't Know Me By Now" by Seal-Casey played a drop piece of the original 1972 smash by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes-However,Casey forgot to mention that Simply Red took their version of that same song to #1 on both the AC & pop charts:6 weeks (AC) & 1 week (Pop)-Note these are Billboard rankings-How did the song fare in R&R?
