The idea for this series comes from the Netherlands, but in "CopStories" the scripts are adapted to Austrian conditions. The focus is on the often hard working day of Austrian policemen, the realistic depiction of criminal cases, but also the private life of those involved. Whether the neighbour´s rags are flying, the best friend is the victim of a crime or a drug dealer is up to no good, "CopStories" tells cases that life writes - stories about betrayal, love, ambition, trust, respect, integration and violence in an urban police station in the heart of the Viennese district of "Ottakring". Mike Majzen started his musical career in 1985 with "Janine", three years later the musical invitation "Come To The Park" followed:

My Top 27 songs from the 4/20/74 countdown (song titles only, absolute faves in bold):Top 10: TSOP, Bennie & The Jets, Hooked On A Feeling, Come & Get Your Love, Oh My My, Sunshine On My Shoulders, The Locomotion, The Lord's Prayer*, I Have To Say I Love You In A Song #11-20: Lookin' For A Love, Seasons In The Sun, Mockingbird, The Show Must Go On, Searchin' So Long #21-30: My Mistake (Was To Love You), Let It Ride, Piano Man, Dark Lady, Jet, Midnight At The Oasis, You Make Me Feel Brand New, Eres Tu #31-40: The Entertainer, Help Me, The Payback, Jungle Boogie, Oh Very Young * Since it's Holy Week and I'm Catholic, I have no choice (just like 2 years ago when 4/13/74 was the Easter weekend show) but to feature Sr. Janet Mead . This time, she's in HQ stereo. Woooooo ! Another '88 show to review?! I'm stealing a page from the seminolefan playbook and am featuring a different year this week... although the Patron Saint of Musicians, Saint Cecilia, might not be too happy that I'm bending the rules during Holy Week : My Top 25 songs from the 4/22/89 countdown:Top 10: Like A Prayer, She Drives Me Crazy, The Look, Funky Cold Medina, Stand, Heaven Help Me, Girl You Know It's True, Eternal Flame, Second Chance #11-20: Room To Move, Real Love, After All, Forever Your Girl, You Got It#21-30: Cult Of Personality*, Iko Iko, Electric Youth, Orinco Flow (Sail Away), Wind Beneath My Wings, Every Little Step, My Heart Can't Tell You No #31-40: Everlasting Love, Dreamin', Close My Eyes Forever, The Living Years* I'm picking "Cult Of Personality" as my pick hit for two reasons: (1) They broke through the color barrier on most rock stations and were played! Yes! (2) This song has one of THE best, gnarliest, grooviest, bytchinest bass lines ever featured in a rock song (Saint Cecilia would not approve of my using that last adjective in my description ). I air bass guitar to this tune every time I hear it:

In the middle of the 1970s he went to Germany, where he worked mainly in Frank Farian´s hit factory (Boney M., Eruption and many others). International stars like Sarah Brightman, Boney M., Jose Feliciano, Patricia Kaas and the Scorpions appreciate his qualities as arranger, composer and music producer. His great talent to combine rock, pop and classical elements to a harmonious whole made him a worldwide sought-after arranger and music producer. Numerous projects with symphony orchestras, including the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra Project from 1986 onwards, have been developed and have gained international recognition. These crossover projects are considered a milestone in symphonic rock classic productions. Here are three examples: From the 1st album "VSOP" "Rock Me Amadeus - The Classic Touch": From the 3rd album "VSOP - Classic & Rock" "Nothing´s Gonna Stop Us Now": And from the 4th album Album "VSOP 4 - Classic Meets Pop" "One Moment In Time": from my musical category "daydreamer"My motto: "Not always the often heard hits."
