I started recording from Smooth 70s and went back to bed. Can anyone tell if there is additional butchering besides ditching the extras? I won't get a chance to listen to my recording until after the weekend. A typical recording from the '80s edition run between 3:05 and 3:10 hours without the extras. I will need to record the Eddie Kendricks extra from another station. ...or maybe I should have stayed in bed. lol With all the different shows, this was probably the worst weekend to upgrade to Audacity 2.0. Everything seemed to record fine. I saved and reopened my Audacity project, but it either hangs and hangs with an hourglass or opens to an empty stream. Not impressed with this new peoduct. I may be downgrading to an older version.

Wow - I'm very impressed by all of the postings in this thread since last night!
I have to work this weekend, but I will try and make notations of any station that DID play the AT 40 - 70s - 4 hour edition in the stations list.
Thanks for all of your help - this is a great group!

Finding the first hour of the 79 show will be like finding a needle in a haystack. That's why I have a feeling the four-hour shows will be short-lived; it seems like the majority of stations will be sticking with the three-hour versions. ETA: There's one station (WGTK) that won't be airing the four-hour shows because they can't (contract obligations with the shows AT40 is sandwiched between), but the rest seem to be because they don't want to.

I think CKRU (KRUZ-FM) out of Peterborough may be playing all four hours of the '79 show - their schedule this morning reflects the 70s show playing from 12noon to 4PM today. Adjust your recorders accordingly! I adjusted my recording of WORC to start an hour early and caught all four hours! Unfortunately, WORC cuts off Larry Morgan's sign off at the end of the show so I will use CKRU's last hour to make my show complete! I've scheduled CKUL to record tonight to catch the Dick Clark show. Exciting weekend for AT40!!

Does CKRU have a new website? Each time I hit the "website" button on the radio nenad site, I'm taken to a website suggestion page.

This thing of Dick´s show has made things even more difficult and ,IMHO, this first time of 4 hour show is not relevant and we will have to wait for another 1979 episode to see the real response of stations.

I think you have already seen the response of stations as far as four hour shows are concerned as the most of those stations running the 79 show this week are only running hours 2 thru 4. As it was stated in an earlier post,it all depends on what these stations are running before and after Casey. There are many stations running other syndicated programs on the weekends and can't fit the extra hour of AT40 into their schedules.

Is CKRU on Central time? If not, it looks like their website is in error and will only be running the three-hour version of the show. Unless they run the show an hour past its usual stop time.

Or, too much commercials highlighting their local morning programs full of crap. As far as KMXG of Davenport, Iowa – don't know yet if they'll play the 1979 program or Dick Clark. I've been enjoying the 4-hour 1979 program, although I got up late and only caught a couple of segments of the first hour. Drat! Still liked what I heard. Brian P.S. – Speaking of which, wonder how many stations out there still run re-runs of Dick Clark's "Rock, Roll and Remember?"

I don't know about the other stations, but with WBBG AT40 is the only syndicated show they air. ETA: I have a feeling the Sunday morning airing is the reason why they're not doing the four-hour shows; they air those typical Sunday morning "current affairs/community calendar" programs before AT40 (last time I checked, anyway).

Nope, CKRU started the show off with Hour 2. There wasn't even an explanation at the beginning by Larry Morgan that the show was only three hours long. Perhaps, with the new optional four-hour package, he doesn't do that anymore.

H, you are correct, Larry does not do that anymore. The last 1979 show in Feb, the same thing happened (because the 4 hour show was available to foreign stations). It's just like an 80s show now with the second hour introduction.
So guys what is the tally of 4 hour shows so far? One, by WORC? I'm not counting Smooth 70s because they cut out some songs.
