^Thank goodness! This info spared me the frustration of having to check all the radio stations playing AT40 at the top of every hour! I'll have to get up at 5:00 on weekends that they run 1979 shows, but hey, I'm game!

I started recording from Smooth 70s and went back to bed. Can anyone tell if there is additional butchering besides ditching the extras? I won't get a chance to listen to my recording until after the weekend. A typical recording from the '80s edition run between 3:05 and 3:10 hours without the extras.
I will need to record the Eddie Kendricks extra from another station.

I did that too, hit the record button at 4AM, went back to bed and have gotten up to notice that they are finishing up at 7AM. They must have edited stuff out to get this done in 3 hours!

The butchering of the final original extra on Smooth 70´s makes the intro of the number 1 a little bit isolated, there is a Casey story which has been axed and the presentation of the number 1 lacks of that something. The show is going to end at 13.00 CET, regular time.

Well they did not axe the story about the #1 song. Guess I'll have to listen to this in a bit and see what I think. Yeah only the Eddie Kendricks extra is one that I would want to add from another station out of all the OEs.

Finding the first hour of the 79 show will be like finding a needle in a haystack.

FYI, if anyone cannot find the first hour, I have it from the UK station. Am listening to it now from my recording. So I can send it to whoever needs it.
And you guys and gals are going to want to hear that because there is a gripping LDD in it. One that I wish they could give an update on as a matter of fact.

You can disregard my post above about having the first hour of the show since technically I do not as a result of them editing out the archive song at the end of the hour. I knew they could not play a 4 hour show even without the commercials in 3 hours!
Final report on Smooth 70s. They omitted both archive songs that were left in the countdown by Premiere. So since every late 70s 4 hour shows has archive songs in it, this is what they will probably do for every one of these shows. So this is not an option if you want to hear the complete show.
