For those who don't want to wait until next weekend to hear 7/4/1987, it will be coming up on the Classic AT40 channel once they're done with 3/17/1979. True, you can hear it on the Classic AT40 Channel quite often, but extras are not included. Wish that channel would include the extras.

Regarding the countdown from 7/12/80,the "AT40 Archive" songs were from the late winter-early spring of 1960:"Teen Angel" by Mark Dinning,"Theme From A Summer Place" by Percy Faith & his Orchestra,& "Stuck On You" by Elvis Presley-"Stuck On You" was Elvis' first release after his discharge from the Army-"Theme From A Summer Place" spent nine weeks at # 1 & wound up being the biggest hit of 1960.

At one time, the extras were played but that doesn't happen any more. Unfortunately, yes. At around the same time the I-Heart channel switched their rotation from alternating 70's and 80's shows to alternating one 70's show with three 80's shows, they stopped playing the extras.

Optional extras for 7/4/87 and the Triathlon special are the same as last time.
However, they have changed for the 1980 show.
Premiere optional extras: Hour #1: "Lookin' For Love" - Johnny Lee (#67; highest debut) Hour #2: "Boulevard" - Jackson Browne (#53) Hour #3: "Drivin' My Life Away" - Eddie Rabbitt (#55) Hour #4: "I'm Alright" - Kenny Loggins (#88; debuted)
Of note: Premiere replaced the "Who Shot J.R." extra - which was the Hour #1 op extra in its' 2013 and 2015 airings - with "Lookin' For Love" and unlike last weekend's Three Dog Night extra from 1974, it's not in memoriam as I'm pretty sure Johnny Lee is still alive (albeit said 1974 extra was kind of a stretch as far as remembering people go).

His Wikipedia entry shows that he's still alive (he turns 73 on Wednesday). Interestingly, his first marriage was to Charlene Tilton, who played JR's niece Lucy on Dallas.

And once again we´ll have a "Funkytown"-weekend: Lipps Inc.´s "Funkytown" for the last week and Pseudo Echo´s "Funkytown" for the first week in the Top 10.

Thought these links deserved a bump, saved my butt the last couple of weeks when main stations had glitches. Johnny Lee just did a concert in my area about a month ago. Good to hear Johnny is still not only alive, but still doing shows. Country music is not my first love, but he is a great talent.

Prediction for next week's show:
1st Guess - 7/16/88 2nd Guess - 7/10/82
Feels like it should be the final 1988 show of the year. Other than a 'B' show airing in 2016, 7/16/88 hasn't been played since 2011. After that, it's more of a crapshoot...other shows that are in contention would seem to be 1982 and '83.

I'm inclined to think that we'll hear 7/16/88 next weekend.
