Premiere optional extras for 2/2/80: Hour #1: "Him" - Rupert Holmes (#47) Hour #2: "Don't Give Up On Us" - David Soul (Archive extra) Hour #3: "Another Brick In The Wall (Part II)" - Pink Floyd (#51) Hour #4: "Sexy Eyes" - Dr. Hook (NR)
Of note: "Sexy Eyes" didn't debut in the Hot 100 until two weeks later but more or less this song was likely chosen in tribute to Ray Sawyer who died a few weeks ago.
OE's for 2/1/86 are the same as 2014.

XHPRS not playing the program today. It looks like XHPRS 105.7 Max FM has removed the show from their schedule.

With the death of James Ingram today, what show could Premiere play to honor him in the coming weeks? There are none where he hit early in the year.

If they wanted to give him an optional extra, they could do 2/6/82 next week and air "One Hundred Ways" (debuted on 2/13). For a B, if they picked 1987 (flipping what was done in January) Ingram shows up with "Somewhere Out There".) And we haven't had 1983 yet this year; 2/26/83 ends with him at #1 with Patti Austin singing "Baby Come To Me", though if that's on tap it's already been chosen.

Prediction for next week's show:
1st Guess - 2/9/85 2nd Guess - 2/13/82
So we're officially well overdue for a 1985 show, and this one was last played in 2011. 1982 is another year due for a spin, but I really hope they wait another week or two and play 2/20/82.

The last week of February would be about right for the first 1983 show of 2019 - in fact, I wonder if either show where BCTM was #1 was scheduled in the first place? Such a shame that such a great singer died on my birthday

Such a shame that such a great singer died on my birthday 2/19/83 was BCTM's first week at #1; that was played just two years ago by itself so probably not. 2/26/83 may have been scheduled; last played as an A in 2013 (B in 2015) and we're soon due for 1983 anyway.

According to KOLA-FM, February 9, 1985 is on tap for next week. Pretty sure that, since we haven't had anything from late 1984 or 1985 since November, it would be a standalone offering.

I think everything from 1983-86 is a standalone, if it isn't a B. And 2/9/85 has only been played once before, in 2011.

^That's what I meant - for the reasons I stated, the show is not a "B" show (besides, we just had 1985 as a "B" show a month ago).
