^I agree with you on the 8/25/84 show. The week after, I wouldn't be surprised if we get one of the August 29th shows (8/29/81 or 8/29/87). September will be interesting--I will admit I'm having trouble coming up with four shows that make sense for the month... If Premiere is trying to avoid repeats, then 9/6/86 and 9/24/83 would work for the first and last weekends of the month. In between, I think probably two of three of 1981/85/87. Everything Casey hosted from those Septembers has been played in the last five years though (plus one that wasn't: the 1981 Gary Owens show.) The two last aired longest ago are 9/14/85 and 9/19/87, both in 2010. Something from September 1982 (a month not played since 2010) might work as well, if they don't think it's too close to next week's 8/14/82 airing. We're getting WAY ahead of ourselves here but I've always thought that there are a handful of shows that Premiere could repeat often without too many complaints from us and 9/14/85 is one of those due to its, uh, historical significance. Since it hasn't been played since 2010 I would say we will almost definitely get it this year. (The other ones on that list of handful of shows, BTW, are the first show, Casey's last show, the John Lennon tribute show, the first ever LDD and possibly the first four-hour show.)

True--it wouldn't be out of the question to get 9/14/85 this year. I think our next 1985 show will either be that one or 10/5/85...

We are not supposed to post/advertise for the stations that don't play the official premiere shows with their advtersisers. Scott Lakefield recently warned us in the first thread. Check it out. Thanks. From now on just post "A certain station" is playing ?/?/?? now.. That way we don't necessarily break any rules and most of us will still know the station we're talking about. Because I kinda like to know what's being offered on that so that I can schedule my personal Sunday afternoons to whichever stations of my liking. Ok let's try it. This coming weekend a show from the month of August between the years of 1980-1988 will air on several certain stations. Hope this helps.

I don't think they care about its "historical significance." Truth is, most people still have no idea about the incident. Just going to be a matter of if it is its time to air again.

^ told ya
9/14/85 was the show date where the infamous dead dog dedication outtake occurs during. If you don't know about the outtake just go to youtube, type in Casey Kasem Dead Dog and it will come up.

I have heard the dead dog outtake and think it's hilarious, yet surprising that Casey blew up like that. I had no idea what show it was from though. Thanks for the info!

Except August is now absolutely out of the question for 1988 until January 2016!

Or we could follow the rules and just not talk about it and respect Scott and the policies he sets for us. To me, that is the simple solution. I agree. We don't mean to be d**ks about the subject of copyright laws, but it is a sensitive subject. Any product of media we buy and watch or listen to usually has a disclaimer on copyright laws. I personally like if something being aired is different, but we must all take responsibility in how we deal with things as the copyright laws . I know that I have to honor and respect them first and foremost. If even you run across something that is questionable , don't post or promote it. It is better to be safe than sorry! This. Continuing to post this stuff could endanger this board. I would hate to see this board be deleted because some continues to talk about it.

Right--not sure why it's so hard to understand that there are some things about which you just shouldn't post on this site. Scott has made it pretty clear that two of the subjects to avoid are talk of trading shows or about non-subscribing internet-only stations that are playing shows. If you have to ask "is it OK to say this or that", then just assume that the answer is no.

FYI anyone who was recording WWIS there was at least one weather alert test "sounder" that played during Pieces of Ice.

By the way it's 3 p.m. central time and WWIS is running the show pretty much on time today as the 2nd hour optional extra is just starting.

The line-up for next weekend, is a cautionary tale in why you should carefully consider who your source is that's giving you information. (And, you'll soon see why I wanted to verify the line-up before posting!) For you see, while lasvegaskid was all too eager in breaking the news that 1982 would be featured. And he's right. 8/14/1982 will be on tap for next weekend. But what he either didn't know, or chose not to tell, is that 8/14/1982 is, in fact, the "B" show: www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/08-14-82.pdfSo, what's the "A" show? Well, get ready for a surprising first, for this point in the 80s series. The "A" show, turns out to be a repeat from 2012! It's 8/15/1987: www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/08-15-87.pdfAnd, both sets of extras remain the same as in 2012 and 2011 (respectively). 1987: Yello - Oh Yeah Prince - U Got the Look Europe - Carrie Heart - Who Will You Run To 1982: America - You Can Do Magic Santana - Hold On Michael McDonald - I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near) The Clash - Should I Stay or Should I Go
