8/6/88 he did not say "join me next week" lol but he was consistent and did not tease.... Correct. Nor did he on the 2/21/98 WW1 shows or the 1/3/04 AT40 Nor the 7/4/09 shows.

Correct. Nor did he on the 2/21/98 WW1 shows or the 1/3/04 AT40 Nor the 7/4/09 shows. Unlike those other occasions, Casey actually said goodbye to listeners in the July 2009 shows so he obviously wasn't going to tell them to listen next week. In 1988, 1998, and January 2004 the lack of a "tune in next week" was the only subtle on-air clue that he wouldn't be back.

Prediction for next week's show: 1st Guess: 4/2/88 2nd Guess: 4/6/85 Until this week, I was banking on 4/4/87 for the first week in April. Not so much now... Be advised: Expect another two-fer for Easter Weekend. Don't know dates yet, but given this much, 88 could be one of them.

I'm predicting it could be 4/4/81 as the A show and 4/2/88 as the B show for Easter weekend. I guess we'll find out soon.

If it were those two, I'd flip-flop them; the 88 show has yet to air while the 81 aired in 2013. That said, since 81 is up as the B show this weekend, and 4/5/80 has also yet to air (unaired shows are never B shows unless they're specials, though those aren't really B shows in the usual sense), I'd say if 88 is the A show, the B show will be no earlier than 82.

You're right; The A show should be April 2nd 1988 & the B show will be no earlier than 1982 as 1980 has been recently played & 1981 this weekend. Im picking either April 3nd 1982 or April 6th 1985 as the B Show. Im also picking April 9th 1983 the following week as that's a NEW Show

Well I hope it's a few more YEARS before I hear that Wayne Newton song all weekend again. Other than that this was a pretty good show coming from someone who likes the later 80's shows better. I wonder how much higher Years would have peaked if Wayne had been able to sing it on The Tonight Show.

A question I've wondered for quite awhile - before AT40: The 80s starts on WWIS, there's a message that says "the following is a special presentation of WWIS". Is the audio for that supposed to sound so weird? (sort of like a defective audiotape - if you've ever heard it, you know what I mean).

Was that supposed to be a comprehensive list of the #1 songs by artist in the 70s? Certainly was not. Besides Barbra Streisand with 4 #1 hits are the Jackson Five, KC and the Sunshine Band, John Denver, Diana Ross and Donna Summer, who actually got her 4th when Barbra did on "No More Tears". And besides Stevie Wonder with 5 #1s are the Eagles.

Since when did they edit the word crack in Prince's "Sing "O' The Times"?

Since when did they edit the word crack in Prince's "Sign 'O' The Times"? I noticed that too. They didn't edit the word "reefer" though.

Well, next week's 80s pairing is a real head-scratcher. Bad enough that apparently the "A" show even needs a "B" option, but on top of things, probably the most ridiculous option possible is the one that's picked. Next week's "A" show was previously the second show to air in the 80s series, in 2007. It's 4/6/1985: www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/04-06-85.pdfAnd based on what I've said already, the A should tell you what the year of the "B" show will be. That's right, it's 4/7/1984 (previously aired in 2012): www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/04-07-84.pdfAnd those extras are the same as in 2012: Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Relax Madonna - Borderline Steve Perry - Oh, Sherrie Deniece Williams - Let's Hear it For the Boy Actually kind of funny that "Relax" was picked for its first run in 84; this means that'll be heard in both shows next week. As to 85...I don't suppose anybody has a clue what the extras were the first time around? If ever there were cause to think that Premiere's making these pairings based on year numbers alone, though...boy, ain't this it. *shakes head*

^OK, so... why on Earth would anyone play the 'B' show? This makes zero sense... maybe less than zero.
