A couple of goodies from next week show are the companion for the "Dead Dog Dedication" as a woman requests "Stand By Me" for her cat Rocky & after M/A/R/R/S's "Pump Up The Volume" Casey adds "But Ask Your Neighbors First". Plus we get to hear current Geico ad song "Push It" (let's just hope they don't bring back the Ellen ad with it in it too). At least the "Dead Cat Dedication" doesn't come up after a GD uptempo number, man! The song that proceeds it is the mellow "Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay" by Michael Bolton. I'll probably have to turn down my radio next week for a minute or so, because that dedication always makes me cry. As a cat person, I can relate to the girl who wrote the LDD. When I first heard that LDD, several Kleenexes were necessary. As for the "B" show - really?? 1983 again?? I'm wondering if this is going to be a situation like the 1980 show last month, with no stations airing it because that year had just been featured two weeks before. I'm wondering if this is Premiere's way of making it up to 1983 for holding off on it so long for three years in a row (The 2/26/83 show was the earliest show from that year in a stretch from 2012 through 2014).

Wow, anyone listening on KOOL 103.5? They didn't have a single commercial break until after song #34!

Also was Kenny Rogers "Through The Years" a LDD every other week because it seems like it's been a dedication in shows played this year alone twice (maybe they just happen to play the year it was on the charts) "Through The Years" was indeed a popular LDD request. In fact, I think it led the pack for many years. The last time it was used as an LDD was late 1987. By then, I think there had been another song that stole its thunder as a song to dedicate to a loved one that you'd been with for many years. But, in a tally taken in the spring of 1999, it tied with "Somewhere Out There" for the most requests at 17 times each. I'm sure that "Because You Loved Me" eventually beat both songs.

All the tea in China is safe. I knew they would play a 1988 show before April. In fact, that applies to every year in both series. Can't see how any year gets neglected for the first 3 months of the year(anymore..it may have happened previously). For those that did not see it, I had posted that I would bet all the tea in China on them playing a 1988 show before April.

So, are there any other stations running the 1980 show (not that it really matters, as I recently heard the show on the iHeartRadio channel). Just curious.

I wish Premiere would do that - air the Gary Owens, guest hosted show. Would be a nice tribute.
