Prediction for next week's show: 1st Guess: 2/20/82 2nd Guess: 2/18/84 If it's 1982, there's a possibility that Premiere would also offer a 'B' show, which I'm guessing might be 2/20/88? We'll have to see if they offer a second show with 1982, since '82 has yet to be aired this year. I'm having trouble coming up with an alternative to 2/20/82 as an "A" show; it's a repeat, but from a long time ago (only played once, in 2008). It seems rather soon to play 1984 again just four weeks after the last show from that year. 2/22/86 would also make sense, as the last 1986 show was played a week before the last 1984, and that particular countdown was last aired five years ago. Another show last played in 2010, 2/28/81, would fit the following week well (probably coupled with something else), as we haven't had a 1981 "A" countdown yet in 2015. I won't be surprised if we hear 2/28/81 next weekend. As for 1986, I'm thinking that Premiere plays '86 again sometime in March (could really be anything except 3/15/86 since we just heard that one last year). Just a hunch though...

Keep in mind that 2/20/88 was just played a year ago--pretty rare that Premiere plays the same show two years in a row. They could do something like playing 1982 as an A and 1988 as the B. Something played just a year ago probably won't be offered as an A, even with an alternative. If Premiere is willing to play something slightly off from that week's date, 2/27/88 would make sense, as it was aired four years ago. (For comparison, 1/18/86 was played in both 2011 and 2015.) So would 2/28/81. Either 1988 or 1981 obviously could also be played the following week, and would almost certainly be paired with a "B".

Boy, from Casey's story, George Harrison certainly changed his mind quick enough from 1985 to record again. Certainly he got great results!

I would not be one bit surprised if Premiere gives us shows from five consecutive years in the 80s, mixed around. We had 1983, to start off, and now we got 1985 (with 1981 being the "B" show). I strongly doubt we'll get February 18, 1984 immediately after airing a show from 1985, so if I were to guess, February 20, 1982 may be the choice for February 21, and that may increase the probability of hearing February 25, 1984 to close off the current month of February.
I personally think the probability of getting a repeat show (unless it's a "B" show) in the month of February at this time is pretty much not in favor.
Then again, for the record, they did air February 12, 1983 exactly four weeks after a repeat of a 1983 show aired in January (I think). So we may get February 25, 1984 next weekend, followed by a repeat from February 27, 1988 to close off February.
I think, if 1982 airs next weekend, if we get a new show to close out February, my money goes on February 25, 1984.

^Quite frankly, I'm surprised that February 25, 1984 has yet to be aired on the series, as it was, at one time, overplayed on XM.
That show has one of the more unusual LDDs - from a big fan of the TV series Happy Days, which was being cancelled at the end of that season, to the characters of the show. An odd dream that I had when dozing off while listening to the show (about it being a TV tribute to the cast) made it all the more weird. Plus, it would be neat to hear the entire show, as I've only heard it in AT40 Flashback form (namely, the last three hours). So yeah, I'm kind of hoping for that show.

If only they did the week before this, then "Relax" would've been played right after a song whose title describes it perfectly... "Naughty, Naughty"!

Those predicting both 1988 and a "B" show for next weekend are indeed right. However, with this comes virtual proof that "B" show selections aren't affecting the "A" show schedule one iota. (HINT: The B show isn't from 1982.) As I will also reveal, next week will also be a week off from guessing, at least for the 80s. Next week's "A" show is from 2/27/1988, which previously aired in 2011: www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/02-27-88.pdfThe extras were, and still are: Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World Tiffany - I Saw Him Standing There Icehouse - Electric Blue Whitney Houston - Where Do Broken Hearts Go The "B" show, is one that previously aired in 2013. It's 2/26/1983: www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/02-26-83.pdfThis show's extras were, and still are: Thompson Twins - Lies Michael Jackson - Beat It Prince - Little Red Corvette Thomas Dolby - She Blinded Me With Science

A couple of goodies from next week show are the companion for the "Dead Dog Dedication" as a woman requests "Stand By Me" for her cat Rocky & after M/A/R/R/S's "Pump Up The Volume" Casey adds "But Ask Your Neighbors First". Plus we get to hear current Geico ad song "Push It" (let's just hope they don't bring back the Ellen ad with it in it too).

Pumps & Dump for 2/16/85 Big list of overlooked songs 1 Eric Carmen "I Wanna Hear It From Your Lips" (Hate to say it but I'd rather hear it instead of "All By Myself & "Hungry Eyes" 2 Pat Benatar "Ooh Ooh Song" (I think it caught stations off guard because it sounded different from her last song) 3 John Parr "Naughty Naughty" (Just play it once for every 10 plays of "St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion)" PLEASE) 4 General Public "Tenderness" (Should've at least went Top 20) 5 The Honeydrippers "Rockin' At Midnight" (In my opinion better than "Sea Of Love") Special mention to the extra "Radioactive" by the Firm as mentioned also a song by Imagine Dragons but in my opinion the Firm's was better. Now the dump I hate to do this but with all their classic songs Foreigner's only #1 was "I Want To Know What Love Is" that is sad Close & I mean close 2nd is Wham's "Careless Whisper" Also was Kenny Rogers "Through The Years" a LDD every other week because it seems like it's been a dedication in shows played this year alone twice (maybe they just happen to play the year it was on the charts)
