Is KOKZ among the stations which declines to play post-1986 countdowns for whatever reason? they wont air late 1987 or 1988 shows (they aired a few early 1987 shows in the past)

This might be some kind of record. This week's show has 5 songs that were the #1 hits of a year in the 80s at least suggested. They played the #1 song of 1981 "Bette Davis Eyes". Casey suggested the #1 song of 1983 "Every Breath You Take" when he said Sting was the most successful artist who had previously been a teacher. Yeah a stretch there but the song that more than any other catapulted him to that status is EBYT. BTW, he also mentioned Roberta Flack in that story who had the #1 song of 1972 "First Time Ever I Saw Your face". They played a piece of the #1 song of 1985 "Careless Whisper" in the intro to the #1 song "Faith" which would become the #1 song of 1988. And Casey suggested the #1 song of 1987 "Walk Like an Egyptian" when he said the Bangles would have a song in the year end countdown..that one.

Well, guys, it seems that WMMX has gone all-Christmas. They were playing an AT40 Christmas special in the 8 AM central hour. Boo, hiss!

Wow, they just played the creepiest LDD I've ever heard in my life. Basically it was a creepy love letter To Tiffany, who was only 15 at the time. I think the sender meant to be sweet but it came off pretty scary. I wonder if Tiffany got a restraining order when she heard that (I would).

If it's 12/21/85, I'll guess these optional extras:
"How Will I Know?"-Whitney Houston "Kyrie"-Mr. Mister "Tarzan Boy"-Baltimora "A Love Bizarre"-Sheila E.

I like that AT40 played the album version of Faith, with the long intro. Haven't heard that in awhile.

Automation struck again, when WGHN started the last hour with #4, 'I've had the time of my life'.
