I'd guess that terrestrial listeners to 'NYR, are ticked off by what they're doin', with these too many minutes of commercials.

I would bet the over the air signal is fine and there was a blip with the stream. Dave, go enjoy the fall weather, take in a football game, something! I love the shows as much as you but I'd go nuts binge listening to the same show for two solid days.

About a month away for one of the worst times of the year....when most of my stations I listen to AT40 on turn to all Christmas music. I'll have to start looking for a station to listen to on both Saturday and Sunday morning when this occurs (Mix1077 out of Dayton please don't do the Xmas music).

Two stations I know of off the top of my head that air both shows and don't go all-Christmas: WGHN - Grand Rapids, MI (80s on Saturday nights and 70s on Sunday nights) WWIS - Black River Falls, WI (80s on Friday afternoons and 70s on Sunday mornings)

Has WNYR dropped the '80s show, altogether? Sure sounds like it, from what I'm hearing.

Most of the 80s stations don't go all Xmas music. The bigger problem there is with the stations that play the 70s shows.

Star 107.9 is playing the 10/17/81 show with extras! Will Endless Love (barf) be #1 for a 10th week? Ooooh I'm on the edge of my seat...

Couldn't disagree more, and it doesn't seem like you are such a "huge fan" of Chicago if you could say such a thing. Uh, Jeffster... you attributed a quote to me that I didn't say. Go back to page 1109, and here is what I stated: As a huge fan of Chicago, I was very much looking forward to their first post-Peter Cetera release. I was so disappointed in this song! It has nowhere near the same feel as the original song. I was also upset that a group like Chicago thought they could only get a hit by re-recording a classic. The person who posted after me said: Chicago should have hung it up when Cetera left (or what they really should have done was allow Peter to do solo work and still remain in the band as he had requested). They became flat out unlistenable without him, and his solo stuff paled in comparison to the majority of Chicago's hits with him. The remake of "25 or 6 to 4" seems like a desperate attempt the remaining members of Chicago made to try to maintain a connection with their fan base in the wake of Cetera's departure. So... I wasn't the one who said Chicago should have hung it up. For what it's worth, I really like "Will You Still Love Me", "What Kind Of Man Would I Be" and other songs from the post-Cetera era of Chicago. People are entitled to their opinions here. I would ask that if you are going to quote me in the future that you do so correctly. Thanks. Sorry. Sometimes these multi-quotes can be confusing.

Optional extra predictions for 10/16/82:
* "Missing You" by Dan Fogelberg * "Love Me Tomorrow" by Chicago * "Shadows Of The Night" by Pat Benetar * "Rock This Town" by The Stray Cats
There are many, many, many great songs which could be selected for this week's extras.

I hope some others noticed that the 10-3-81 show was remixed at a slightly faster speed.
