Five months since a show from 1985 has been played. Was really hoping for 8/24/1985 next week. Oh well.

Actually it's only been two months; June 21-22 was the last 1985 show, though March was the last 1985 AT40 before it. I think in the next three weeks we'll get 8/31, 9/7 or 9/14/85, which were last aired in 2008, 2011, and 2010 respectively.

So it's 1981 this week. Bummer. I was right, but I really wanted to get 8/24/85, though I knew we wouldn't get 1985 until the following week at earliest.

Darn. Was hoping to (at least) guess the optional extras. Oh well, a week off, I suppose. SummerSlam will be interesting this year. The women's match between Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella will be very interesting to watch. It's the highest-profile feud, I'm guessing, since at least 1984 when Wendi Richter and the Fabulous Moolah battled on MTV. Brian

Sunny 101.5 plays the Optional Extras. Oh, you're referring to the one out of my hometown South Bend, Indiana, I thought you'd meant Sunny Radio in Sioux Falls, South Dakota! You live in Indiana?

Is it OK if I message you everyday? Sure. About what though? PM me! What radio stations you listen to, what AT40 shows you like, etc.

I remember listening to this show four years ago while driving home from the Indiana State Fair. (I love this event so much I have attended every year for 24 yrs straight. But I digress.) This countdown was unique in that there were only two debut songs--and both happened to be by female solo singers from Scotland. Let's see who can be the first to correctly guess the songs and artists.
