Prediction for next week's show: 1st Guess: 4/4/87 2nd Guess: 4/5/80 We should almost certainly get an '87 show in April, and the only one not likely to be chosen is 4/18/87 (since it was played in 2012). I would bet that it won't be 4/11/87, since I am thinking another year might be a lock for the following weekend... Oh, the intrigue. Which year would that be and why?

I don't know what he's alluding to, but 4/9/83 would be a good choice for the second weekend in April, as Premiere's never played it.

WWIS-AM has streaming problems. Aside from a couple of momentary cutouts, they worked fine for me today. And, they were finished right at the top of the hour! Rare for them...

Commentary Casey in fine form this week in 1988. This week and every week in 1988. That's why I am so disappointed in what the powers that be decided to do with Casey. Yes he came back in 1989 with CT40 but he was back to his mid 80s form. Just heard the CT40 from 3/25/89 on its anniversary date the other day to confirm that. So while he was still in fine form, it pales in comparison to his late 87-88 commentary mode that I really enjoy.

My two favorite Caseys: 1) Disco Casey (roughly late 1979 thru early 1980) and 2) Commentary Casey (late 1987 thru the end of his tenure in August 1988).

Mix1077 must've gotten an early start on the show. It's 6:27 central, and they're already up to song #22.

Yes, I think we are long overdue for a 1987 show. Not to mention that I enjoyed AT40 the most during 1986 to 1988, plus the fact that we haven't heard a new 1987 show since just before Christmas. I have a feeling we're going to get a 1987 show either next weekend or the weekend after.
Also, regarding last weekend's 1985 offering, unless I missed something, I don't think I heard Casey mention the six songs that dropped out of the top 40 that week. Did he forget to mention the songs that fell out that week?

Mix1077 must've gotten an early start on the show. It's 6:27 central, and they're already up to song #22. Dave, I was out running early listening, and Mix 1077 skipped over number 32 to 29 so that is how they got ahead of themselves on the show. They started right at 6:00 AM
Also it was interesting being out in a cold rain and listening to Casey talk about Terrance Trent Darby going awol in the army and then being let off the hook to become a one hit wonder.
Is there a list anywhere of when the show would be on stations on I heart radio? I have a couple on Saturday and Sunday, but have some "gaps".

Two hit wonder: The #4 hit "Sign Your Name" followed the #1 "Wishing Well".

You can definitely hear static at times during the final segment of Hour 2; no doubt this week's show was re-mastered from vinyl.
