What show do you think they will air the first week of September? Knowing how they love 1976, probably 1976.

What show do you think they will air the first week of September? Knowing how they love 1976, probably 1976. I'm thinking 9/3/77 is a very likely possibility for the first weekend in September. We should be due for 1976 sometime during the next month as well...

During one of the times when the 8/26/78 show aired the "extras" were Casey introduced phone calls with the two people involved with the first LDD. These were (then) recent phone interviews with them. I'm guessing this was a one time airing? Those segments, taking up two of the three optional extra spots, have been repeated by Premiere in later replays of the show. They'll likely be heard again next weekend. No ambiguity about it - they WILL be repeated again this weekend. Y'all would be guessing for replacements if they weren't.

Captain Chris of WLDE emailed about what happened to AT40: 80s and he said it will be on hold until both parties disagreement gets resolved. In meantime it will continue to air 70s until it gets resolved and they would soon bring back AT40: 80s. Don't know exactly when.

Ken Martin, any update on next weeks Labor Day airing of the Number 1 Hits of the '70's and '80's? Once again, Great Job! Besides WTOJ, When it comes to stations you can count on to listen to these classic shows, I have a few in mind. WBBG, a station that has been playing the '70's classics since 2007. WODC, a station where Mike E. gives it his all and cares so much about the show and CKWW Detroit/Windsor who use to give us the new shows on tuesday nights and got in trouble for doing that. I should also mention KKLZ Las Vegas who has been playing the classics since 2007 too. Any other ones....?

It's interesting to hear Casey mention the writers of Three Dog Night's "Black and White" as if they were an up-and-coming duo. The song was actually written by David Arkin and Earl Robinson in 1954, following the U.S. Supreme Court's landmark ruling against school segregation in Brown v. Board of Education. Both Arkin and Robinson had been blacklisted for supposed Communist ties during the McCarthy era.

Prediction for next week's show: 1st Guess: 9/3/77 2nd Guess: 9/7/74 Seems like it almost has to be 1977 the first weekend in September... Indeed it does. In addition to the final chapter of the #1 Hits of the 70s, for Labor Day weekend we will get 9/3/1977. www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/09-03-77.pdf

For 1977 extras, I'll go with:
"Heaven On The 7th Floor" "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours)" "You Light Up My Life"

My optional extra predictions for the 9/3/77 show:
* "Help Is On Its Way" by The Little River Band * "It's Ecstasy When You Lay Next To Me" by Barry White * "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" by Chrystal Gayle
I am assuming "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" by Elton John and Kiki Dee stays in the show as an original extra.

If there are to be 10 'A" shows from 10 different years starting with the last week of July, the next 2 shows will be dated 9/11 and 9/18. Because the only 2 years remaining in this time frame are 1971 and 1976 before the 10th different year of 1978 that was leaked out for the last week of Sept. So far it has been 1979, 1974, 1970, 1973, 1975, 1972 and 1977.
