Well, yeah, but it will almost certainly only be the short version.... Well, we can't have Marty going down on Grace -- children might be listening No "taste of the real world" for you!

^He still does, at least on most of the B shows I've heard recently.

With all the talk this week of well-remembered shows in the 80s thread, it's the 70s who will be achieving this effect next week. The "A" show last aired in 2010, and is from 8/26/1972: www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/08-26-72.pdfWhich should make it immediately obvious what the "B" show will be. That's right, time to relive that first LDD again...it's 8/26/1978: www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/08-26-78.pdfExtras for both shows will remain the same as in their most recent airings. For 1978, this included retrospectives on that first LDD (did this take up all three slots? I don't remember).

The last times 8/26/78 aired (in 2012 as a "B" show and in 2011 as an A with no alternate offering), the first two optional extra spots were taken up with interviews with Casey in which he retrospectively discussed the first Long Distance Dedication. The third hour OE was "Who Are You" by the Who. 8/26/72 was played in 2010. OE's that time were: Hour #1: "A World Without Love" - Peter & Gordon (original AT40 extra) Hour #2: "Use Me" - Bill Withers Hour #3: "Ben" - Michael Jackson

If memory serves correct, I believe this means that 8/26/78 becomes the first show to be aired five times (as an A or B show) in the series...

So 1979 and 1974 the next 2 weeks and 1978 the last week of Sept. That leaves 7 weeks in between. With 7 other years to choose from, does that mean the other 7 years will be featured in those 7 weeks? This scenario is still a possibility. Does anyone think it will happen? Matt, you like to predict shows. To make it happen, 1971, 76 and 77 have to be played (as 'A' shows) the first 3 weeks of Sept.

Larry in the intro to OE “Miracles” said ‘Red Octopus’ was Jefferson Starship only #1 album. True in Billboard 200. In Cashbox, the followup ‘Spitfire’ was also a #1 in their album chart in early Aug. 1976.

The 8/26/78 countdown is on the "Classic AT40" I-Heart Radio channel.

During one of the times when the 8/26/78 show aired the "extras" were Casey introduced phone calls with the two people involved with the first LDD. These were (then) recent phone interviews with them. I'm guessing this was a one time airing?

Those segments, taking up two of the three optional extra spots, have been repeated by Premiere in later replays of the show. They'll likely be heard again next weekend.
