Looks like this week is a dud; no triple plays of any kind that I could see. Several artists (Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Foreigner, even Crosby, Stills, & Nash, to name a few) are in two shows but not in the third.

CRZ, did you take last week off? Elton John had a triple play with Don't Let the Sun go Down on Me on SXM, Mama Can't Buy You Love on the 70s and Kiss the Bride on the 80s show.

LOL...I just totally forgot to even check. Haven't checked on this week's yet, either.

LOL...I just totally forgot to even check. Haven't checked on this week's yet, either. I did, for 1970, 78, and 80. A lot of doubles but no triples.

This week, it's Paul McCartney once again with a Triple Play:
9/11/71: #5 "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" with Linda McCartney 9/4/76: #3 "Let 'Em In" (Wings) 9/13/86: #21 "Press"
Peter Cetera once again comes close with one of his own solo hits and two of Chicago's hits charting, but he only sings on their "If You Leave Me Now" (76). Robert Lamm sings "Beginnings" (71).
By the way, last week there wasn't any Triple Play, though Aretha Franklin had a double with two strong ones.

Speaking of Aretha, she is part of an interesting triple this week. All 3 shows featured a song climbing from 4 to 2 that got no higher.

That's arguable, since John Lennon (memorably) sang that one. If you were to count that though, then you'd have to count Peter Cetera for one along the same lines as well this week - refer back to the post you quoted for the songs in question.
For Paul it doesn't really matter though, since "Press" was also in the Top 40.

For this week, Elton John scores a triple, with "The B*tch Is Back" (9/21/74), "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" (9/18/76), and "Chloe" (9/19/81.)
The Beach Boys fall just short, BTW, as a reissue of "Surfin' USA" was at #41 on 9/21/74 and made the top 40 the following week; they are heard in the 1976 and 1981 shows (the latter with a medley of their 60s hits).

Ha, maybe Premiere will pick "Surfin' USA" as an extra for the '74 show.

Ha, maybe Premiere will pick "Surfin' USA" as an extra for the '74 show. CRZ, they played that song as an extra on the last '74 show.

No triple plays among the 9/19/70, 9/27/75, and 9/26/87 shows for this weekend. However, it's worth noting that Michael Jackson has former and/or future #1's in the 1970 and 1987 broadcasts, which are as far apart as 70s/80s Casey Kasem AT40's can be at this time of year.

LOTS of double plays among 10/1/77, 9/30/78, and 10/6/84...but no Triple from any one artist. (Lionel Richie doesn't sing 77's "Brick House", otherwise he'd have one easily with his own and Commodores songs.)
We do, however, have a trio of solo Gibb brothers among the three shows: Andy's all by himself in 77 with "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" (#10), both he and Robin are in 78 - Robin's "Oh Darling" is #16, and Barry has #37 "Shine Shine" in 84.

LOTS of double plays among 10/1/77, 9/30/78, and 10/6/84...but no Triple from any one artist. I did find a triple play of Donna Summer: "I Feel Love" (10/1/77, #14); "MacArthur Park" (9/30/78, #25); and "There Goes My Baby" (10/6/84, #22.)

Gah! I blame the ORS site for missing that. They listed Richard Harris instead of Donna Summer!
