With December 1974, 1978, and 1984 featured this week, we have two triples, from Chicago ("Wishing You Were Here", "Alive Again" and "You're the Inspiration") and Chaka Khan ("You Got the Love", "I'm Every Woman", and "I Feel For You").
Assuming SXM plays 12/16/78, Paul McCartney appears in all three as well, as "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" was an Archives extra in that show, in addition to his 1974 hit "Junior's Farm" and 1984's "No More Lonely Nights".

Let's see what we have here:
Olivia Newton-John has Let It Shine on 1976 and Suddenly on 1981, plus I Honestly Love You on the 70's decade end.
Barry Gibb also has a triple play; Nights On Broadway on 1976, four songs on the 70's decade end (all with the Bee Gees) and Guilty (with Barbra Streisand) on 1981.
Donna Summer had Love To Love You Baby on 1976 and Cold Love on 1981, plus Hot Stuff and Bad Girls on the 70's decade end.
Diana Ross had the Theme From Mahogany on 1976 and It's My Turn on 1981, plus Ain't No Mountain High Enough on the 70's decade end.

A couple triples this week:
Elton John: 1973: Crocodile Rock 1977: Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word 1985: In Neon
Stevie Wonder: 1973: Superstition 1977: I Wish 1985: Love Light In Flight
Jermaine Jackson appears on the 1973 and 1985 shows, and The Jacksons were on the 1977 show... but Jermaine wasn't part of the group at that time, so no triple there!

Since Sirius XM and Premiere are doing the same 70's year this week, it makes it a lot easier for a triple play. We've got a triple from Lionel Richie, who had "Too Hot To Trot" with the Commodores on the 1978 show and "Running With The Night" on 1984. Plus, the Commodores' "Three Times a Lady" is heard on the 1984 show, making it a triple for the Commodores as a group too. Billy Joel also has a triple with "Just The Way You Are" (1978) and "An Innocent Man" (1984).

Elton John has a triple play this coming weekend, with: "Your Song" (1971); "Grow Some Funk of Your Own" (1976); and "Nikita" (1986). I'll be away on vacation then, so I'll miss these excellent shows.

1975, 1976, and 1980 this weekend brings us a triple play from the Eagles, with "Best of My Love", "Take It to the Limit", and "I Can't Tell You Why".
Depending on which 1976 countdown SXM plays, Linda Ronstadt may have one as well. If it's 2/28/76, then she has "You're No Good", "Tracks of My Tears", and "How Do I Make You." ("Tracks" fell off the following week which they also may play.)

This week we have a triple play - Paul McCartney has songs on all three. "Give Ireland Back To The Irish" on the 1972 show and "Maybe I'm Amazed" on the 1977 show, both Wings songs, plus a Beatles extra, "Here Comes The Sun" on the 1981 show (while Paul wasn't the singer on it - George Harrison was - he did contribute to its rhythm section.)

A double play artist this week, worthy of note since the two songs were this act's only Top 40 hits, Climax Blues Band. I still have the 45 single of their 1980, just missed the '40' hit, Gotta Have More Love. One of my favorites that just missed the 40 back in the day.

There is a quadruple play this week - a Beatle, though not who you'd expect!
Ringo Starr had "Back Off Boogaloo" in 1972, "Oh My My" in 1974 and "No No Song" in 1975, plus the Beatles movie medley in 1982, and an LDD of "Come Together" on the same show.

If Premiere gets to air the August 25, 1984 episode sometime down the road, we will have a triple play of Jermaine Jackson on one single episode, with his solo hit "Dynamite" as well as his appearance in The Jacksons' "Torture" (which I think debuted that week) and "State of Shock" which was on the way out of the top ten that week.

For this this weeks 4-17-82 show we have a self contained triple play with Stevie Wonder. The Stars on 45s have a tribute to Stevie Wonder. Then Paul McCartney joins Stevie for "Ebony and Ivory". Then Stevie goes solo for "That Girl".

Elton John scores a triple play this coming weekend, with "Daniel" and "Little Jeannie" as a solo performer in 1973 and 1980, respectively, as featured on Premiere; also with "Philadelphia Freedom" as fronting the Elton John Band in 1975 as featured on SXM.
