John Stewart was a member of the Kingston Trio from 1961-1967; however, he was best known for his single, "Gold", a number #5 hit in 1979 in which he teamed up with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.
Stewart died on January 19 from either a stroke or brain aneurysm in San Diego.
