There's another death in the music business. Longtime Quiet Riot lead singer Kevin DuBrow was found dead in his apartment in Las Vegas on Sunday. No cause of death was reported on the 52 year old singer. DuBrow was known for his on-stage charisma, gravelly blusey voice, and suspenders. Quiet Riot was best known for their No. 1 album, "Metal Health" and it became the first album by a heavy metal band to hit No. 1 on the album chart with their debut album. The album included the hits, "Bang Your Head (Metal Health) and the Top 5 smash, Cum On Feel The Noize". "Noize" became a classic, and I remember back in the day when MTV aired that video on a regular basis. It is still one of my all-time favorite videos. It also introduced me to heavy metal, and before that, I mostly listened to R&B and Funk, and when I saw the "Noize" video for the first time, I said to myself, "This is something new and something different". At the time, I only had cable for a few months, and I was only 11 years old at the time. Now with the death of Kevin DuBrow, I bet that he will be bringing the noize to heaven. Here is my advice to the people up there in heaven, "Be afraid, be very afraid." Also, I would like to send my condolenses to Washington Redskins' safety Sean Taylor's family and teammates. What a tragic loss!
