It is with great pleasure that this web site announces that author Rob Durkee is engaged to marry American Idol contestant Haley Scarnato. The couple has been secretly dating in recent months and the wedding date is scheduled for some time next year.

Rob insists that his popping the question Saturday night to Scarnato had nothing to do with her recent "American Idol" performance of the song "Tell Him." Instead, Haley had long ago won over Rob's heart in many ways, including her owning some Elvis Presley CD's. In fact, Elvis Presley is Haley's all-time favorite songer, followed by U. S. Bonds, Fats Domino and Jackie Wilson.

Haley and Rob have many other things in common. Haley is a huge basketball fan and has recorded over 40 DVD's of NCAA men's basketball tournament action, for instance. She also has a CD collection that includes every Casey Kasem-hosted countdown show.

Haley's favorite pro teams are "the Cleeeeeeeeeveland Indians" and "the Cleeeeeeeeveland Browns" and "The Cleveeeeeeeeeveland Cavaliers."

What totally convinced Rob that Haley was Miss Right for her, though, was when he found out what her favorite song is.

That song is "My Name Is Larry" by Wild Man Fischer.

Catering by Meatloaf.

Nena will release 99 Luftballoons.

And the Average White Band will Cut The Cake.

I was really hoping that Haley Did have a copy of every AT40 show, which brings up a good question. How many people really have every show? ...and are any of those females?
