It did not take long in 2007, but on January 1 we lost Del Reeves. (Believe it or not, he was born Franklin Delano Reeves, after our 32nd president!)
He was a great country music singer in the 1960s who charted 55 hits on the C+W chart from 1961-1986. He also spent one single week on the Hot 100 with a novelty tune "Girl On The Billboard" which peaked at #96 (#1 C+W).
By the way, in no way was he related to the great Jim Reeves.!
