I need help with my XM/Laptop connection. I forgot about this in the past, but I am not able to hear what is coming in on the microphone. It is recording into the computer but I can't hear it at all. I dont know what settings I need to have in order to hear it play out. If I am not able to heaer it, I wont be able to record the marathon.

Paul, in case you didn't solve it yet... Here's probably what's wrong: by defualt mic output is always muted on the soundcard, so you need to untick the Mute checkbox in playback-soundmixer for your soundcard! Remember, the mic-input on your laptop is probably only mono. Check it! Hope this helps.... good luck!

whatever, that really pisses me off! Had I known that I would have been recording the 80's channel, not the 70's!

Paul, Im still sending you the 80s, no big deal. And I still want to get the 70s from you as I believe you have a better setup than he does using Total recorder. No reason to be pissed off. ?

LOL, no, we're still good. He's another guys I trade with and when I read your post on here I thought Id better check with my other traders to find a backup. Im sure you can understand that. But now that I know your setup was all good, then Ill take them from you....
did you find a way to not have to use the microphone input so you can do them in stereo rather than mono?
