I issued that warning after what I just read about something non music related on another site. I don't know where else to express this, so here I am.
I have not had a very good week. It started Sunday when, after I watched the Jaguars pound the Ravens and let AT20 finish recording, I got online to check PWinsider.com to see if there was any developments on the TNA Genesis ppv that evening. Only to be shocked out of my shoes with the depressing news that Eddie Guerrero, a 38 year old who had turned his life around after years of alcohol and drug abuse had died.
Monday, I had to drive to Jacksonville and on Tuesday morning at 3:45am I had to wake up with my wife to drive to Orlando for some important matters that could not be put off, and we had to be there by 8am. After that was over, we treked back to Jacksonvilel to pick Austin up and then made the 4 hour mind numbing ride back to Dothan.
Wednesday night, we tried a church out in this area. We have been here almost three weeks so we felt it was time to get out and try to find one. At church that night, I am hit with a bombshell equal to that of Sundays. Dr. Adrian Rogers, former 3 time president of the Southern Baptist Convention, Pastor Emeritus of Bellevue Baptist in Memphis, TN, and one of my favorite preachers had died Tuesday morning. I have no idea what the preacher of the church we went to spoke about.
Thursday night, Dr. Rogers funeral was televised nationally on the Daystar TV Network. I got a blast from the past when I saw the former pastor of the most prominent church in Titusville spoke, followed by my former pastor in Jacksonville Dr. Jerry Vines. I sobbed, cried, and sobbed some more.
Now today, if this week wasn't bad enough; we now revisit pro wrestling for the following blurb on Pwinsider.com....
NICK "EUGENE" DINSMORE HOSPITALIZED IN EUROPE, THEN SUSPENDED BY WWE
by Dave Scherer @ 9:11:00 AM on 11/18/2005
WWE has posted the following statement on their website this morning:
"Nick 'Eugene' Dinsmore was rushed to the hospital last night in Manchester.
He has since been released from the hospital, sent home and suspended indefinitely. WWE.com will have more details as they become available."
_end story_
I can only hope this week doesn't get any worse.
