For those who may not have heard, former "Tonight Show" host Johnny Carson passed away today at the age of 79. No real tie to the music industry except he used to have many perform on his show. He will be missed by all who watched his show and enjoyed it.

Funny Friday I was listening to the American Top 40 from April 25 1987 and they did a news story on Doc Sevrinson and the tonight show band hitting the billboard 200 with there first charting LP. It did even better on the compact dsic chart. Casey even played a piece of the Tonight Show Theme and said it was co written by Johnny and Paul Anka

I was saddened to hear the news of Johnny's passing yesterday. Truly a legend at what he did, and he will be missed.
