King of Pain hit #1 on R&R for 2 weeks. I may be quibbling on a minor point, but ONJ is technically not Australian. She moved to Australia when she was 5. At best, she's considered British-born, Aussie-raised. She probably has triple (as a U.S. citizen as well) nationalities. Oh well, Casey's staff probably don't think she's British enough. Still annoyed that "Magic" didn't make it to the Movies or Summer's Top 40 specials though.

Just listened to the Top 40 #1 Hits of the '80s special today, and the production on the third hour was a bit odd. They played the full LP length of "When Doves Cry" (nearly six minutes), but edited verses out of three other songs, including a major chop job on "Eye Of The Tiger" (which ended up less than two minutes long).

^ Yeesh... the Top 40 Movie Hits special suffers a similar problem in the final hour. "When Doves Cry" is once again played in its six-minute entirety, forcing the #2 song ("Flashdance") to get shorted. Fortunately, that appears to be the only song in the entire countdown to be edited for time.
