Casey mentions Shadoe Stevens on the 8/26-27/06 AT10 show. The theme is 'TV shows' since 8/27 is Emmy Awards night.
The song "You May be Right" by Billy Joel is played. Casey mentions this song is the theme from Dave's World. It starred Harry Anderson and Shadoe Stevens.

And it was only the SECOND TIME Casey has ever taken Shadoe's name in his mouth during the show. Who remembers the first time ? Eventually Scott Lakefield holds back the answer for a while to give the others a chance .....

I recall Casey promoting Rob Durkee's book twice on AT40. Don't remember if on both occasions he used the same story, but my notes say that he mentions Shadoe's name during the May 13, 2000 show.

It seems you're this weeks Number One ...... I haven't caught the fact it was also along with the May 13, 2000 show. Can you tell me what segment it was in the show ? Casey also mentions the same reference of Debbie Gibson filling in for Shadoe Stevens on American Top 20 Hot AC show. The air date was also May 13-14, 2000. You can find this on Hour 2, segment #4 between songs 9 and 8.

I deleted my previous post on this topic as I didn't recall correctly. I just skimmed 7/4/99 and heard no mention of Shadoe. I guess I got the shows mixed up. Sorry!
