I was listening to American Top 10 today, and I really enjoyed listening to Charlie Tuna do the show today. He was great. I know that Casey has a long streak of doing AT10 & AT20, now that he no longer hosts AT40, but just listening to Charlie was really refreshing, and exactly grabbed me. If there is one person that I would love to have sub for Casey at any given moment, it would be Charlie Tuna. I really love listening to Charlie's voice. I remember Charlie from doing voice-over from the America's Top 10 show that Casey hosted. I hope that Charlie gets a countdown show of his own someday, if he doesn't have one already. The last time I checked, he was working at a oldies radio station in Los Angeles. I really hope that Charlie hosts the show again, the next time that Casey takes a week off.

I think he's on KBIG, LA... www.kbig104.com/Charlie Tuna in the mornings... weekdays 5-9am You can get his podcast: www.kbig104.com/cc-common/podcast.htmlIf my memory serves me well, he was hosting Top 20 show on VoA Europe (later to be known as VoA Music Mix) in mid-90s...

He also does a syndicated 70s show every weekend.

I noticed that Casey thanked Charlie for hosting last week, something he didn't do all that often when he was missing one show per month.

To be exact: Casey did it only once before during his frequent absent weeks between 89 and 2004, when he was out for 2 weeks in a row in March of 2002. Remember the speculations out here about Casey's health and the future of his shows ?
I really enjoyed Casey's praise for Charlie; This gives the show really an additional human warmth along with Casey's great work. And it shows the special friendship with Charlie Tuna for decades. Very ironic it took more than 3 decades to get Charlie finally in for Casey after all these years with many different guesthosts. A result of the "good sides" from the whole Clear Channel thing, since both of them work for the same company right now.
