Casey and Guest Hosts

Another pointless poll, but the first time for me to try this feature

My guess is until some sort of unusual circumstance happens, like the last time. Since it seems Casey is no longer taking vacation time, I see no guest hosts unless he gets ill or there is a last minute emergency. However, at least in my opinion, with guest hosts as such a rarity, it actually makes the precense of one exciting and fun. Look at all the different posts that were posted (that sounds redundant) in just the few hours of the Charlie Tuna shows began airing on Saturday two weekends ago. By Sunday night, there were a ton of posts. That never happened every month when we used to hear Ed McMann. But if there is only a guest host once every year and a half, it becomes a much bigger deal -- almost an event.

it would be better than if David Perry were guest hosting. It would have been a few days before any posts went up...after everyone woke back up.

All kidding aside, Charlie Tuna's recent stint behind Casey's mike was the most excited I've been by a Casey guest host in at least 12 years, since the last time Mark Elliot sat in.

Definately, Scott. As a member of the "next generation" of fans who is stuck in the mentality of the previous generation (does that make sense?) I know I taped both shows and woke up to listen to AT10 in its entirety (usually just start listening to AT10 when I wake up and sometimes don't even do that, but I do wake up and listen to AT20 in full religiously each week). However, part of the reason was the sheer mystery of what was coming, the first guest host in over a year and a half, and the first guest hosted AT10 show. But Charlie just made it even better.

Yes, nice poll .... but completely useless.
If it wasn't for a cold, Casey wouldn't had to end his streak of no guesthosted shows.
Since we're not God, none of us can tell when this will happen the next time. Could be next week, could be next month, could be next year, could never happen.
Who knows ?
And I don't like to speculate with other peoples health conditions.

There's always a possibility that he just _might_ decide to take a vacation week someday. No reason for cynicism.
