On that note...since Halloween falls on a Monday and my radio show is on Monday, I will be hosting a Halloween themed special edition of my show that evening. I got the green light from my PD to do whatever I want. So far, here's what I have: The show will not be hosted by "me", but rather someone that sounds strikingly similar to me who has decided to take over the show for a week while I am being possessed (or something along that line) Lots of Halloween soundtracks...Halloween, Friday The 13th, etc All of the songs Paul mentioned above and any others I can think of (and if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to let me know! I will give you credit for helping at the end of the show) Ghost stories and some old-time radio theater. I'm looking into a special guest co-host for part of the show. Special liners and imaging from my imaging guy Drew Bland. In addition to this, some sort of continual story line or theme of some sort of mystery that will be solved throughout the show. NO idea how to put this one together at this point... Basically, my PD gave me the green light to go as far out as I want for this special night. So I want to take advantage of it as much as possible. If anyone has any ideas for either music or other special segments for the show -please feel free to post them here or email. Again, you WILL get credit for anything you help me with. And, for anyone interested, info for listening to my show is in the sig. Although, that's not the host or show name for that particular evening..... You can't forget "Frankenstein" by Edgar Winter!Or the dreaded "Ghostbusters" by Ray Parker Jr. "Witch Doctor" by David Seville, or even "Witchy Woman" by the Eagles ( I know, it's a stretch!)

Not familiar with Witch Doctor. The other two, definately. I'm actually trying to find a copy of the Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II soundtracks to see what else is on there.
Side question: Who is featured in a brief voice-over in the musical montage in the first Ghostbusters? It just showed how powerful AT40 was back in those days.

Not familiar with Witch Doctor. Chipmunk-like voice shrieking "oo-ee-oo-ah-ah, ting-tang-walla-walla-bing-bang" doesn't ring a bell? Don't forget "Purple People Eater". Or maybe "Don't Fear The Reaper" (if you need more cowbell on your show).

Would it be legal to play a part of a previous Caseys Top 40. The story Casey does over Thriller on the Million Sellers of the 80's special is pretty cool.

That you don't! But at the same time you hear lots of people who don't even know Casey is still on the air. Shows how times have changed. Although i'm sure 6:00am show start times don't help either.

Hey, I thought of another one for your show, Brett.... "Somebody's Watching Me" by Rockwell.

I'm gathering my playlist for this coming show. I will post it on Tuesday following the show.
Also -- a quick note. For all you AT10/U.S. Music Survey fans....be sure to listen to your shows this weekend! Many AC stations are rumored to flip to all-Christmas on Tuesday morning. Since I imagine AT10 Christmas shows will not be produced until Thanksgiving, and I don't think U.S. Music Survey will be putting out Christmas shows...many stations will be pre-empting these programs for the next two months.

Just wrapped up the show. Couldn't have gone more wrong in terms of techincal glitches. Songs fired early (while a previous song was still going),some fired late so I had to keep talking and fixing, and some didn't fire at all! The CD decks and board both had some issues, and I lost the sound in my headphones for a while (while on air). My big finale was Thriller, and I was going to do a fancy intro for it, but halfway through the next to last song (a simple 1 minute instrumental clip from 'Halloween') I went to cue up Thriller and it just fired and started. May have been my fault, but with everything else that happened can ya blame me? Still a decent show with a decent playlist. Did an AT40 Fun & Games shoutout in my closing. Will list the playlist tomorrow at some point after I listen through, since I didn't copy it as I went.
